Ben Nevis distillery is situated at the foot of Scotland's largest mountain--from which the distillery takes its name. Although the distillery is far from beautiful, its surroundings are! 89pts Jim Murray. Nose: young and very fruity. Palate: waves of spices, sweet wine notes, and a surge of barley. Finish: enormous depth with the spices continuing steadily growing before being overwhelmed by cocoa.

Port Charlotte is the name originally given to the heavily peated single malt made at Bruichladdich. That was until the owners of Bruichladdich began rebuilding the old distillery Port Charlotte distillery. In time, if everything goes as planned, Port Charlotte will again have its own distillery. Port Charlotte is a true Islay style whisky, with big notes of salt, smoke and peat.
