Released 2007, the 'Herodotus Fumosus' is one of three 12 year old heavily peated BenRiachs, matured in American oak and finished either in sherry, port or dark rum casks. Nose: Sweet peat & smoke, clean citrus & vanilla notes w/ rich Sherry notes. Palate: sweet peat, smoky kippers, bog myrtle, lavender & sultanas. Finish: sublime Pedro Ximinez Sherry notes.
