More precisely it is our 3rd from the early 2000s, and it is yet another Brora-esque twenty-somthing Benromach with creamy smoke and tropical fruits. Matured in a First Fill ex-Bourbon Barrel for 21 years before bottling at 57.9%. Only 179 bottles!
Trossos 90 Minuts Priorat

A Kensington Wine Market exclusive! The arid vineyards of Priorat, about a 90-minute drive from Barcelona, produce some of the most sought-after Spanish red wines. Meaty and full-bodied with dark red berries and earthy spice. This is one of our best-selling red wines, and sales go up drastically when the weather cools. It's a blend of 85% Garnacha (aka Grenache) and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines grow on steep, rocky terraces and face challenging, dry conditions and high temperatures. The harsh climate makes for unique, concentrated wines with real complexity, however. Trossos del Priorats farm their land utilizing organic viticultural practices and the wine is fermented in stainless steel tank for a duration of around 21 days. It is then aged in a combination of French and American oak for 12 months. Complex, bold and rich, Trossos Priorat is a perfect match for red meats and game. Think rustic dishes, such as braised short ribs or a chicken stew.

Is it a coincidence we bottled two Gordon & MacPhail Glentauchers casks in a year? Yes, but it shouldn't be all that surprising... seeing as they are bottling some of the best whisky from the distillery. This 2000 vintage was matured 23 years in a First Fill Sherry Hogshead. We were blown away by this old-school dumpy, sherried single malt... it's a very cool dram! 55.8%.

The subtropical climate environment enables whisky to extract flavors from oak barrels at a faster rate, creating unique fruity flavor that Masahiro whisky own.
This unique Ryukyu whisky spent at least 11 years in America oak ex-bourbon hogshead casks and finished in first filled oloroso sherry casks for 12 months before bottling. This whisky reflects the dedication of Japanese craftsmanship and Masahiro Distillery’s over 140 years history dating back to 1883."
