Cos - ll Frappato
$59.99
"This is one of the most interesting and expressive wines to come from the Vittoria area of Sicily. The 2018 Frappato is tonic and sharp, linear and direct. But don't assume that this is an easy wine: It reveals more depth and nuances than you might expect. What I love most about Frappato is that it always renders a naked, authentic and transparent expression. That frankness is here too, but the folks at COS have brilliantly added their own little tweaks with touches of balsam herb and bitter almond that appear randomly along the way. This wine is only aged in cement, no oak is used. Some 38,000 bottles were made."

Heartland One

Winery Notes: The Heartland One is a wine built to grow and prosper for many years to come. The intensity of this wine provides all the impetus required for long-term cellaring, while the deft handling of oak and the finely tuned acidity will ensure that it stays on track to be a balanced and generous wine. Dark fruit dominates the palate at this stage, and with ten years of age behind it, this wine is hitting its sweet sopt now. .
Pair with your favourite red meat, grilled steak, mushroom pie or aged cheddar.
Heartland Director`s Cut Cab
$35.99
Only the finest Cabernet vineyards in Langhorne Creek contributed to Directors’ Cut. The old vine fruit is the cornerstone of this wine’s character. The fruit was harvested at night to retain freshness. Initial skin contact was followed by 7 days of cool fermentation with our Rhône isolate yeast and hand-plunging three times daily. Maturation then occurred in 75% new oak hogsheads for approximately 14 months. This bold Cabernet is perfect to pair with richer food; Think pot roast, meat pie, sausages and meatloaf.
Kay Brothers Cuthbert Cabernet
$62.99
This McLaren Vale Cabernet combines rich, vibrant fruit with great structure and integrity and we feel is truly a wine worthy of honouring the legacy of Cuthbert 'Cud' Kay. Rich and concentrated dark flavours of mulberry and dark currants. Supported by fine-textured chalky tannins and supple minerality that linger on the finish. A beautifully composed and varietal expression of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Founded in 1890, Kay Brothers is the oldest winery in McLaren Vale and is still in the founding family's hands. Focusing on traditional red wines, Kay Brothers are world renowned for their exceptional selection. Since Kay Brothers first planted grapes in the fertile soil of their Amery Vineyard back in 1892, Cabernet Sauvignon has never been far from their thoughts. Along with Shiraz, and Grenache, Cabernet was to make up a large portion of Kay Brothers vintage for the next century. Though often blended with Shiraz to produce full-bodied Australian Claret for many years, Cabernet has long held its position as a wine of strength, power and balance.
Being born at Amery, and apart from service in the army during World War Two, Cuthbert Thornborough Kay - 'Cud' - devoted his life to producing rich, full-bodied red wines, the style he always enjoyed.
