The father-son team of Noël and Loïc Bulliat is currently in charge of the family estate. Loïc is the seventh generation to operate the domaine. There have been many changes with the acquisition of parcels since its creation in 1780, with vineyards now covering over almost 28 hectares distributed over eight appellations, including five “crus”, Morgon, Fleurie, Chénas, Chiroubles, and Moulin à Vent. Concern for the environment, respect for nature and the desire to express the terroir led the domaine towards the conversion to organic viticulture in 2010.

Marcel lapierre took over his father's vineyard in 1973, and started to challenge the norm. His mentor, Jules Chauvet was one of (if not) the first person to speak out about natural wine; a style of wine that is honest and true to what nature intended. With Lapierre joining Chauvet, his winery is one of the biggest names known to the natural wine world. Unfortunatley Marcel passed in 2010, but his son Mathieu and daughter Camille carry on his legacy, producing natural and delicious Beaujolais. This Morgon is one of their flagship wines. It's stony, it's flinty, it's dark plum, it's cherry, it is complex. A wine that can age, but also is showing well in its youth. Sit back, relax, and experience Lapierre.

This crisp and lively Chardonnay seems purpose-built to convert anybody still firmly entrenched in the ABC (Anything But Chardonnay) movement. As the name Sur La Granit implies, this organic white wine boasts plenty of minerality and citrus zing to keep things interesting. Yet like most of father & son duo Noel & Loic Bulliat's wines, it remains in the 'dangerously crushable' category. Try pairing it with seafood salad, a light pesto pasta, or a bottle of Vignoble Bulliat's Beaujolais Rouge.

This is lovely Gamay with a decidedly Burgundian flare, chock-a-block with red fruits and spice.
