That's not a still type; it's legitimately the shape of the Casey Jones Distillery's pot still, built in homage to the highly mobile prohibition-era stills that the legendary Casey Jones was knocking out for the bootleggers all those years back. Lots of history here - which is fun, of course - but the spirit is bloody good, and that's what really matters. High corn / low rye mash bill. 52%
Leopold Bros Bonded Bourbon

Released at 5 years old, the Leopold Bros Bottled in Bond Bourbon is distilled from a mash of 64% Corn, 21% Malted Barley, and 15% Abruzzi Heritage Rye. It was first released in 2020.
Bottled at 50% ABV. As a Bonded Bourbon Whiskey, it has to adhere to the following rules as laid down in the Bottled In Bond Act of 1897:
- All whiskey in the bottle must be produced by one distillery and by one distiller over the course of one distillation season.
- The whiskey must be at least four years old.
- It must be bottled at least 100 proof / 50% ABV
- The whiskey must be aged in bonded warehouses under United States federal supervision.
- The label on the bottle has to state which distillery it comes from and also where it was bottled.
The Leopold Bros Distillery opened in 2014 and is located in Denver Colorado. The distillery makes whisky and other spirits from grains and fruit sourced as locally as possible - just about everything is grown in Colorado itself, including the Rye which is grown at Leopold Bros' own farm. One of the unique features of the distillery - at least by American standards - is a malting floor which is used to malt grains on site. They also use an on-site dunnage warehouse as opposed to the more typical Rickhouse with multiple floors for ageing.

This is a 5-year-old bottled in bond Bourbon, 50%. Redwood Empire used a four-grain mash bill for this Bonded Bourbon, consisting of 66% Corn, 23% Rye, 7% Wheat, and 4% Barley.
Bottled at 50% ABV. As a Bonded Bourbon Whiskey, it has to adhere to the following rules as laid down in the Bottled In Bond Act of 1897:

Barrell Craft Gray Label 16 Seagrass Rye

We took a flyer on this one and brought it in without having tasted it beforehand. Fortunately, an opportunity arose a few weeks later, where we were able to put our mouths where Andrew's money is. Errr...that didn't come out quite right. Anyway...this is an unbelievably good rye, currently wearing a 'Curt's Pick' tag on it. Trust us, this is tropical and beautiful. Grab one before it's gone.
Producer Note: "The foundation of BCS Gray Label Seagrass began with two groups of 16-year-old 100% Canadian Rye barrels - one with bright citrus and crisp green apple notes and the other with earthy spearmint notes. A portion of the first group was finished in Apricot Brandy casks, a portion of the second group was finished in Martinique rhum barrels, and a blend of the first and second groups was finished in Malmsey Madeira barrels. When each set of secondary maturation flavors peaked, those casks were pulled and slowly married into the final blend."

Distilled in Bardstown, Kentucky (likely by Bardstown Bourbon Company), The Bivouac from the revived Hirsch brand is a blended Bourbon comprised of two different mash bills. 5% of the liquid in this bottled is from 8 year old Bourbon with a = 72% Corn, 13% Rye, and 15% Malted Barley mash. The younger, remaining 95% is aged for under four years and has a mash bill of 74% Corn, 18% Rye, and 8% Malted Barley. Bottled at 50%.
New Riff 6yr Malted Rye Whiskey

New Riff's fantastic Rye releases typically use a mash bill of 95% Unmalted Rye and 5% Malted Rye. This malted Rye Whiskey changes it up quite a bit by using 100% Malted Rye in the mash. It also carries a stated age of 6 Years Old.
