The Scottish Distillery that makes nearly every style of whisky possible has been putting out great bottlings for quite a while now. This new 25 year old has us excited to taste it ourselves - the limited 21 Year from a year or so ago was a delicious sleeper hit. Bottled at 46% ABV, the whisky was distilled using Loch Lomond's unique straight-neck pot stills and then matured in a combination of first fill, refill, and re-charred American Oak casks.

"This single malt release, finished in casks used in the making of a port-style fortified wine here in British Columbia. While visiting The Burrowing Owl Estate Winery in 2024 we got to try the Coruja (Portugese for Owl) and were immediately impressed with its quality and uniqueness. The Coruja is matured in barrels using a solera system, having used Port Pipes from Europe in the past we knew right away that we wanted to finish a whisky in one of these barrels."
