Romero Sherry Finish CS Rum

Rum made in Calgary! From Romero Distilling, this rum was finished in ex-sherry casks and bottled at a cask strength of 57% ABV.
Producer Description
"Our cask strength rum offers the unique experience of tasting our rum straight from the barrel. Non-chill filtered there is nothing added and nothing taken away. Born from glacier-fed water from the eastern slopes of the Canadian Rockies and a blend of Canadian processed fancy and blackstrap molasses, our rum is distilled in a custom made Canadian copper pot still then placed in the barrels to develop a robust flavour. Matured in freshly emptied bourbon barrels from Woodford Reserve and finished in Oloroso Sherry casks imported directly from Jerez, Spain, our Romero Sherry Cask Finish - Cask Strength Rum has the passion of Spain combined with the smooth richness of a carefully crafted Romero Rum."

$59.99
Could this be the most amazing gin to hit the Canadian market? We think so! Wine Enthusiast magazine gave it 96 points. It's also exclusive to Kensington Wine Market! Like other premium gins from the UK, Cadenhead is made from a mixture of gin essence (juniper, coriander and angelica) and Scottish grain spirit. What sets it apart from others is twofold: first, saffron, a very rare and costly spice is added to give the gin a spicy flavour; second, the gin is bottled at 55% rather than being watered down to 40%.
