This bottling is a vatting of 1st and 2nd fill Oloroso sherry casks bottled at cask strength, 55.8%. Nose: icing sugar, fruit, Demerara, doughy and pine notes. Body: medium. Palate: starts out sweet, but fades into dried red fruit with both malty and nutty characteristics. Finish: buttery grains and fruit. We have only secured 18 bottles for Kensington Wine Market!

The bottle is hand numbered, and beautifully presented in a magnetically closed, black laquered wood box, lined in velvet! Matured in 100% ex-bourbon casks. Nose: candied fruit, cinnamon & gentle smoke. Body: full, soft. Palate: tropical fruits, light smoke & vanilla. Finish: warm & soft. Very collectible!
Time has not been generous with this whisky, its strength haing faded over 37 years to 43.4%; but it remains an amazing dram. It has earned one award & was described by Charles Maclean as "Splendid"!

The Marsala and Springbank compliment each other without either being too dominant. A perfect balance.

Glencadam distillery is located in the Eastern Highlands, just north of Dundee. Several other distilleries used to opperate in its vicinity: Lochside, North Port(Brechin) & Glenesk; all of which are now closed. The spirit from the distillery--now owned by Angus Dundee Distillers--was principally used for blending. Glencadam's unique stills, w/ their 15 degree lyne arms produce a very light spirit.
