The history of Ruinart rosé, the very first rosé champagne to make its appearance, dates back to the 18th century. While Ruinart rosé champagne first appeared over 250 years ago, its excellent quality remains the essential feature of the production of this delicate wine to this day. 45% of the chardonnay is from the Côtes des Blancs and Montagne de Reims vineyards. 55% of the pinot noir is from the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne vineyards, 18 to 19% of which has been made into red wine. 20 to 25% coming from reserve wines from the 2 previous years. The nose is subtle and fresh, first offering an original palette of tropical fruits (guava and lychee) and small berries (raspberries, cherries and wild strawberries) in the first instance. On the palate, the attack is distinct and full, cradled by a gentle effervescence. Freshly picked berries are delightfully expressed and the balance brings together a beautiful freshness and voluptuous body, expressed by an elegant bracing touch of mint and pink grapefruit.

Now, it's a blend of aged rums from Trinidad and Tobago, distilled by Angostura, Ltd. It's a dark brown rum distilled from fermented molasses, aged 12 years in used bourbon barrels. Look for notes of vanilla, chocolate and coffee in a rich body with a smoky oak flavor in the finish.

La Spinetta, in Castagnole Lanze, was founded by Giuseppe and Lidia Rivetti. Barbera Cà di Pian was the first red wine they produced in 1985. Members of the founding families are still involved in the business to this day. Fuller's is best known as the brewer of London Pride, Chiswick Bitter, ESB and 1845. This English strong ale has a sweet and toasty nose with a good depth. Pours a lovely deep copper with a nice tan head. The flavour - raisin and rich buttery malt leading to a gently alcoholic finish with a lingering moreish maltiness on the back of the tongue.
