gives them a precise idea of how our close ancestors, the Gallo-Romans, musthave lived. Acquired by theur family in 1490, the property has been home to fifteen generations of wine growers. It boasts 25 hectares of old vines whose average age is 60 and yields are diminutive. The soils of Saint Cosme are a geological mosaic brought about by the upheaval of the Dentelles de Montmirail. They are located at the point where two geological faults meetand the microclimate is cool and causes late ripening. Balance, freshness and finesse characterise their wines.
Gergenti Frappato Sicily

Frappato is Sicily's answer to chillable, easy-drinking red wines. These bottles are loaded with bright acidity and marked by low levels of tannins, with a structure very reminiscent of Pinot Noir, although it's genetically related to Sangiovese.
Gergenti Frappato is made with organically grown grapes, and it embodies the unique charm of Sicily. The grapes are handpicked in early August. After the harvest, the grapes are left to be macerated with their skins for 6 days. Manolactic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Look for juicy red fruits, a little spice, like summer in a bottle.

Lini Lambrusco

Lini winery was founded in 1910, by Oreste in Correggio, in the heart of Emilia. More than 100 years of history that have seen every change in the world of wine, in particular Lambrusco. The Lini winery has always distinguished itself with its range of Lambrusco and has put in years of hard work, research and oenological trials to develop the use of the Classic Method (as used in the production in Champagne) for Lambrusco. It was in 2015 Lini was nominated as one of Opera Wine's 100 Greatest Producers by Wine Spectator. It's a blend of grapes made from 85% lambrusco salamino and 15% ancellotta using the charmat method.
Alzinger Riesling Loibenberg

This wine is pressed from a large number of small vineyards at the foot of the Loibenberg. What they have in common is that they are still decisively shaped by the Loibenberg and its eroded weathered rock. There are influences of sand and various sediments found among the vineyards located in the warmest Wachau terraces with an arid and shallow soil lying 200 metres above sea level. They use traditional agriculture in the vineyard and, when the grape reaches its optimum ripeness, it is harvested manually.
Once the grapes reach the winery, they are selected, pressed and left to macerate for about 24 hours. They are then vinified at a controlled temperature with selected yeasts. No oak barrels are used in the process. When it is ready, the Alzinger Riesling Loibenberg Smaragd wine is clarified and filtered. Alzinger Riesling Loibenberg Smaragd is a dry white wine that contains all the delicacy and complexity of the charming Wachau Valley.
Rest & Be Thankful Finglassie 2017

Finglassie is what the Inchdairnie distillery calls their peated stocks. We've only seen one or two of them so far - Inchdairnie was only founded in 2015 - so it's hard to say what the distillery profile will be, but it was probably a smart decision to release this is a small batch bottling, as opposed to single cask releases. We're probably getting a closer approximation of what we can expect in future releases. The peated ones, anyway.
This 5-year-old was matured in ex-Islay Bourbon casks (so...introducing a bit of the Islay style of peat perhaps?), and finished in ex-Oloroso butts.
Natural Colour, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 46% abv.
