Past Event: The Whisky Trail is Back - 8 Whiskies, 190 Years
Did you miss out on one of our famous virtual tastings? Most of our tastings sell out, but occasionally, there are some kits leftover. This tasting consists of 6-8 samples (depending on the tasting) and can be enjoyed at your convenience. A QR code on the box is linked to the tasting video on our YouTube page.
Original Tasting Description
"It has been two years since we've had a new offering from The Whisky Trail in-store, and with 8 new whiskies that landed, we have a very cool tasting range. We will taste our way through a pair of Blair Athols, 13 year old Dailuaine, 15 year old BenRiach, 20 year old Benrinnes, 35 year old Strathclyde, 49 year old Invergordon, and a mysterious 38 year old Blended Malt, 190 years of Scotch whisky in one tasting. Banter is likely to include trips down random rabbit holes about Knights, stained glass windows, and Highland Coos... and or something completely unrelated!"

"This is not an Advent Calendar; it's a series of 5 Advent Whisky Advent Tastings we are hosting on December 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, and 27th at 7 PM MT on Zoom. We have endeavoured to make each of these 5 tastings equally interesting, with a comparable balance of products with respect to price, age, and style. Each tasting has a whisky over 23 years of age, and the average over all the tastings, excluding the 6 NAS bottlings, is 17.8 years. Each tasting also includes at least 1 KWM Cask, 1 peated whisky, and 1 whisky which is not a Scottish single malt.
"Each tasting kit includes 5 - 28ml top-secret premium whiskies. The name of each whisky is a closely guarded secret and has been redacted. KWM Staff have either been sworn to secrecy or are suffering from an entirely unrelated bout of short-term memory loss. You'll have to log in to the tasting on Zoom from a secure location using the QR code on the box for a classified debriefing on all 5 whiskies, Thursday, December 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, and 27th, 2024, @ 7 PM MT. The origins of each whisky will be revealed in the tasting, but can also be found on the KWM Blog, through our social media channels, or by scanning the QR code on each bottle."

"The KWM Whisky Calendar, aka "25 Days of Dram Fine Whisky", is back for the 10th straight year. Not only will it have a fresh new look this year, but it will be in a completely redesigned box. This year's Calendar includes 25 28ml premium whiskies and a custom logo wee Glencairn glass. You can follow along on the KWM Blog starting December 1st, or on one of our various social media channels as we introduce and discuss each day's whisky.
"We will also be hosting Whisky Calendar Recap Tastings throughout the month of December. Purchasers and recipients of the KWM 2023 Whisky Calendar will be able to join us for any or all of the 5 virtual tastings on December 5, 10, 15, 20 and after Christmas on the 27th, at 7 PM MT. Each of them will cover the 5 previous day's whiskies in the Calendar."
