About Annandale Distillery
Built in the 1830s and first opened in 1836, Annandale Distillery has a tumultuous history. The distillery was rebuilt and expanded in 1887, and It was purchased by Johnnie Walker & Son in 1895. Johnnie Walker & Son operated Annandale until around 1916 when it was shut down. The distillery site was owned by the Robinson family from 1924 to 2007, but never used for distillation during that time. The Robinson's owned the Provost brand of porridge oats. The distillery buildings were used for production of the porridge, and warehouses on the site homed cattle instead of casks.
The site was purchased in 2007 by David Thomson and Teresa Church, and whisky production began again in 2014. The current Annandale Distillery Company has been releasing official bottlings since 2018, though the focus has curiously been solely on single casks. No plans have been made for a wide-scale release at this time.

Decadent Drams Glentauchers 19 Year
$394.99
57.1% - 2002 First Fill Bourbon & 2005 First Fill Sherry
87.96 points Whiskybase
Producer Description
This is a 19 year old Glentauchers single malt. We made it by muddling together a 2002 1st fill barrel of Glentauchers with a 2005 1st fill sherry butt of Glentauchers. The barrel got tipped in on top of the butt nearly two years ago, we bottled half that mix as Whisky Sponge Edition No.82 about a year ago, and now, we’ve decided it’s time to bottle the remainder of this mix. As such, here is Glentauchers 19 year old Decadent Drams! We bottled this with very slight reduction from cask strength at our favourite bottling strength of 57.1%. After an extra year in the sherry butt, with loads of headspace relative to the volume of whisky, the result is a hugely juicy and well-sherried, properly mature Glentauchers. Full of fruits, rich sherry notes, spices and waxiness. It’s despicably, decadently delicious stuff, and you should buy one for yourself and another for yourself and one for a pal. And one for your cat. Buy a cat if you need to in order to undertake that final instruction."
Decadent Drams Teaninich 13 Year
$229.99
54.5% - 2011 - First Fill ex-Bourbon
87.61 Points Whiskybase
Producer Description
"A 2011, 13 year old Teaninich. Matured in a 1st fill hoghsead and bottled at natural cask strength. This is simultaneously both a modern and an old school whisky. It is delicious but discombobulating. You will probably find yourself, much like our label cover star, Ozark the Drambot, confounded and existentially torn between the incompatible dualities of his existence. However, we would appreciate it if you didn’t focus too much on that outcome and still purchased bottles like a dutiful consumer." -
