"This wine is part of the dry Quarts-de-Chaume trilogy: Veau facing west, Quarts facing south, and Rouères facing east. "Les Quarts" is the original plot which gave its name to the grand cru. Why 'Quarts'? Until the French revolution hacked off all the lords' heads, the Lords of Haute-Guerche who owned this vineyard had to give the Ronceray Abbey "the best quarter of the harvest" and these vineyards produced the finest. Thus the Quarts name was born.

Domaine Belargus is the recently born Domaine of wine visionary Ivan Massonnat, a conglomeration of three retiring estate’s prestigious holdings. Ivan has acquired and consolidated under this banner 24 hectares of millennium old parcels in passionate pursuit of the heart and soul of the Anjou and its bewitching vehicle, Chenin Blanc. This includes no less than 10ha (a quarter!) of the Loire Valley’s only Grand Cru: the famed Quarts-de-Chaume. Several more of the most illustrious monopoles and premier cru’s of Chenin Blanc now live under the Belargus aegis, seeking to capture in one estate and one variety fourteen (and counting) different micro-climates and soils from Savennières to Saint-Lambert du Lattay."

The Sierra de Gredos is an area of rugged granite peaks, forests and hilltop towns southwest of Madrid. The combination of high altitude, free-draining granitic soils, and a long growing season gives it a unique micro-climate. Vines cling to scree-slopes like mountain goats, many of these sites were abandoned decades ago, but a new generation of growers is rediscovering them. Dani Landi was one of the pioneers working with the old vines here, making elegant, mineral wines, that are redefining what was previously viewed as a workhorse variety into something that can rival the elegance and finesse of some of the world’s most sought-after reds. Curro Barreño, one half of the brilliant Ribeira Sacra project Fedellos, also grew up in this area. He’s a childhood friend of Dani, sharing many bottles together and winemaking influences. Since 2021 Curro has taken over responsibility for Dani’s vineyards in Méntrida and is making wines under the Vitícola Mentridana label. Curro’s building on Dani’s meticulous foundations, interpreting the vineyards, and working with a light touch in the winery.

Part of the Milk & Honey Distillery's Elements Range, this single malt was matured in ex-Bourbon before finishing in ex-Red Wine Casks (STR Casks).

Producer Description: "Ex-red wine casks that were sourced from Israel's finest wineries were picked for this part of the Elements trilogy. The Mediterranean’s climate, variety of soil types, hot sunny days and cool nights bring a spicy and unique flavor to Israeli wine – and in turn, our casks. The wine casks used in the Elements Red Wine are a celebration of local terroir, curating a floral single malt with notes of raisins."

This whisky was selected for Canada by Craftwork Spirits. It is a selection from multiple casks and includes whisky made from a mash of rye, malted barley, corn, spelt, and wheat. All whisky in this bottle was aged in virgin oak casks and the batch originally had a strength of around 47% or so before it was decided to bottle it at 46%.

Ratio Johnson Vineyard Chardonnay

Based at the Carlton Winemakers Studio in Carlton, Oregon, Ratio Wines is the personal project of winemaker Anthony King. Ratio makes Willamette Valley Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and distinctive Northwest white wines.This wine has a Chablis-like charm and has aged gracefully into a really lovely, elegant white wine. The 2015 Johnson Vineyard Chardonnay comes from the certified-organic Johnson Vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. Eric Lemelson owns the vineyard, having purchased it from the Johnson family, who famously farm grass seed across the Willamette Valley. I’ve worked with Johnson Vineyard for years and have come to believe in its potential as a great Chardonnay site.
