Dewar's Double Double 32 Year 375ml
$118.29
Well, look who's back? This little gem is starting to become a perennial favourite, and for good reason: it's absolutely killer whisky at an inexplicably low price point! According to the folks at Dewar's, this has "been aged, blended together, aged again, then finished in sherry casks."
There is no overstating how cool it is that they have given us a blend with a high age statement and a robust bottling strength. Way to step into the spotlight, Dewar's. Well done.

Boutique-y 10 Year Canadian Corn Ltd. Ed
$54.59
Looking for something a little sweet and a little smokey? This limited edition Boutique-y Canadian Corn whisky has been finished in PX and ex-peated Octave casks before bottling at 10 years of age and 45.8%. The label appears to show Dr. Whisky (Canadian Sam Simmons) as a flapping head Canadian South Park character on a dartboard... or are we reading too much into this!
Aberfeldy 21 Year
$124.79
In terms of age statements at least, the 21-year-old sits at the apex of the Aberfeldy family. It's no geriatric, to be sure, but a couple decades in oak has put this one firmly in beautiful, mature whisky territory. If we're being honest though, 40% seems a bit scrawny by today's standards. Despite that wee hangup, it's hard to argue that the flavour isn't spectacular. And if we're continuing with this whole honesty thing, the simple reality is that some whiskies are going to be a bit lighter (read: lower alcohol) but are still absolutely deserving of attention on the merits of intrinsic quality. This is just such a one.

Sandhi Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
$53.99
From an average of 40-year-old vines. Brimming with high-toned, youthful aromatics, Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir leads with crunchy red fruits of pomegranate, wild strawberry, and sun-warmed raspberry. The exuberantly fruity nose is undergirded with orange zest, black tea, tea rose, and faint hints of clove and spice. The bright, vivacious palate carries a taut mineral streak through to a lengthy finish lifting the red fruit notes with a whisper of anise.

$59.99
Composed of old-vine Carignan, Mourvèdre, Zinfandel, Alicante, Mission, and Palomino that underwent native yeast fermentation and aged in a combination of French and Austrian oak, approximately 12% new. Only 900 cases produced.
Ridge Petite Sirah Lytton Springs
$63.69
From Ridge:
Lytton Springs, in Sonoma County, became part of the Ridge estate in 1991. A quarter century’s experience with this vineyard had convinced us that it was an exceptional piece of ground. The oldest Petite Sirah vines on our Lytton Estate were planted in 1901 and the youngest in 2008. We made our first wine from the property in 1972. In 2002, we began bottling portions of the Petite Sirah as a separate wine for a limited release, up until then it had always been included in the Lytton Springs Zinfandel. In 2003 we made another limited release and in 2009 our first national release.
From KWM: For many California wine lovers Ridge holds a special place in their hearts and on their palates. They make a wide array of wines from their two wineries, the original Monte Bello winery in Santa Cruz and the Sonoma winery in Healdsburg, and rarely, if ever, miss the mark. Chief winemaker Paul Draper is a legend, and deservedly so.
