It was founded by Paul Hletko in 2011 after he spent around a decade prior working with (and around) Evanston's bylaws to get Few Spirits legally built. The mash bill for this Bourbon is purported to be 70% Corn, 20% Rye, and 10% Malted Barley and uses a Saison Beer yeast for fermentation.

"Rum Nation Peruano is a very old rum produced in the Lambayeque region of northern Peru.
The molasses from which it is fermented comes from sugar cane plants grown in the region. The distillation takes place in an old Scottish column, in a distillery founded in the middle of the 20th century.
During the 8 years it took to age, the solera system allowed for the blending of several casks."
