This whisky was matured for 15 years in a mix of new and refill sherry casks before a finishing period in specially selected hand crafted Scottish Oak casks. Nose: syrupy, fresh honey and sweet vanilla. Body: medium, velvetty. Palate: apple crumble w/ vanilla custard; rich dark chocolate towards the finish. Finish: long, dry and oaky.

This whisky has loads of colour for such a young dram; deep, golden-brown! Toasted oak, and plentiful fruit on the nose; much sweeter and creamier w/ water. On the palate the whisky is resinous and shows vanilla and toffee w/ some citrus notes; w/ water it becomes malty, sweet oak, sultanas and raisins appear. The finish is sweet buttery and complex. The whisky itself is bright, orange-gold in colour. On the nose, orange peel & apple skins, spices & cinnamon w/ a smoky edge. Oily, oak and peat smoke, herbs & spearmint on the palate. Finishes w/ fruity smoke.
