Longrow 10 Year Tokaji Finish

While Springbank malt spends 6 hours drying over peat, Longrown malt spends 48. This makes for a smokier, heavier whisky. In general Longrow--1st released in '85--is the most elegantly smoky whisky styles in Scotland. This bottle is a little more restrained than most Longrows with the sweet Tokaji cutting through the heavy smoke. Demarara sugar, dark syrup and hints of Orange. Sweet, dry finish!

Hazelburn 1st Release

Trawling off the coast of Isay, a fisherman finds a secret Royal Navy sub and then tries to give it back to the owner. Only they deny it's theirs and later that it's missing and finally acuse him of stealing it. What better way to honour the fisherman's honesty and government incompetance than with a 14Yr whisky matured in Bourbon and finished in Rioja wine casks. Syrup, oak, malt w/ long finish.

Coopers Choice brings an opportunity to taste malts which are not frequently found in the general marketplace. Casks of malts at different ages are selected from some of Scotland's finest, but rarely bottled distilleries. In 1846 John Dewar was one of the first merchants to sell whisky in "branded bottles." He eventually opened the Aberfeldy distillery in 1898 to supply whisky for blending.
