While Springbank malt spends 6 hours drying over peat, Longrown malt spends 48. This makes for a smokier, heavier whisky. In general Longrow--1st released in '85--is the most elegantly smoky whisky styles in Scotland. This bottle is a little more restrained than most Longrows with the sweet Tokaji cutting through the heavy smoke. Demarara sugar, dark syrup and hints of Orange. Sweet, dry finish!
