Tawse is a family-owned estate winery located on the lower slopes of the Niagara Escarpment in the sub-appellation of Twenty Mile Bench. Founder Moray Tawse purchased his Cherry Avenue property in 2000 and opened his six-level, state-of-the-art winery in 2005. Tawse was voted the number two winery in Canada in the Canadian Wine Awards and won a platinum medal from Decanter Magazine on their World wine awards.
Warm, enticing notes of dark cherry, savoury herbs, mulberry and potpourri on the nose, this Pinot Noir shows a fine balance between ripe fruit and more subtle, evolving characteristics. On the palate, the velvety tannins complement the refreshing acidity, with the wine culminating in a long, warm finish.
