The 2025 release is a marriage of 83% Spanish Oak Oloroso Sherry with 17% Pedro Ximenez. It is a 50/50 marriage of peated and unpeated malt and is bottled at 50% ABV.
Ardnamurchan utilizes blockchain technology to track and record how their whisky is made then bottled. There is a QR code on the back of each bottle of Ardnamurchan bottle that links to everything from tasting notes, to who did the mash that day, and even the fermentation time. According to the info provided, we can thank Nick Docherty for this batch - at least fermentation-wise. Scott Stewart was responsible for the spirit run/distillation.

The origins of Château Olivier date back to the Middle Ages, when there was just a keep. Over the centuries, various writers have mentioned the likely existence of a fiefdom by the name of Olivey, the only one within the lands of Leognum. During the hundred years' war, the ‘Black Prince’, Edward of Woodstock, son of King Edward III of England, loved hunting in this vast oak forest. Legend also has it that Bertrand Du Guesclin, commander of the French army, eschewed pitched battles in favour of constantly hounding the English; and lived at Château Olivier during one of his campaigns in Aquitaine. Fast forward to 1982, when Jean-Jacques de Bethmann took over the direct running of Château Olivier after a long period of tenant farming, and in 2002 Laurent Lebrun joined as General Director. In 2021, Eléonore de Bethmann, daughter of Jean-Jacques, succeeded her brother Alexandre and took over the governance of Château Olivier; thereby maintaining an active family involvement in the estate they have owned for more than 136 years. Today they still produce two wines, a white and a red Bordeaux that punch way above their weight, competing with other Bordeaux wines costing two or three times as much.

It is a from a combination of two refill sherry buts that were finished in an ex-Bourbon Barrel. I am not sure how that math works, but regardless! Only 421 bottles were filled, with a small portion coming to Kensington Wine Market.
