Deep, refined, and savoury Chianti Classico Gran Sezelione, ideal for the cellar, but drinkable now with a good decant. While this organic wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation, it's kept on the lees for an extended period for added complexity. Expect a lively and fresh white wine that can pair with goat cheese, arugula pizza, salads, or all on its own on a summer day when you need a lift!

The Pita family has a long history in Spain's Rueda region, a DO dedicated solely to white wine. The dominant variety in the region is Verdejo, a grape that offers crisp citrusy white wines reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc without the resounding grassiness. This domaine has expanded considerably since the time Serge Dagueneau took on his handful of hectares. Today, there are 23 hectares of vines, of which 18 hectares are dedicated to Sauvignon Blanc in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation. Many of the vines are ancient, with some up to one hundred years old. Most of these vines are planted on Kimmeridgian marl, one of the classic terroirs of the Pouilly-Fumé and Pouilly-sur-Loire appellations. He is the nephew of the late Didier Dagueneau, a legend in the wine world.
