Therianthropy Cabernet Franc
$43.99
Therianthropy is the mythical process of shapeshifting, which is another way to view turning nature into wine. Therianthropy Wines is a small collaborative garagiste project launched in Creemore Hills in Niagara, Ontario, in late 2019, with David Eiberg as winemaker. The group of wine industry veterans source grapes from sustainable, organically farmed vineyards across Ontario for an adventurous set of low-intervention wines. All the ferments are natural, they don’t employ fining or filtration, and there are low to no sulphur additions throughout. They also finish their bottles with recyclable plant-based composite corks, and top with an organic beeswax button.

Moss Wood Ribbon Vale Merlot 2022
$69.99
The big, bold 2022 vintage of the Ribbon Vale Merlot consists of 86% Merlot and 7% each of Cab Sauv and Cab Franc. The wine was matured in 228 litre French Oak Barrels (21% new) for a total of 26 months before bottling.
This Merlot is from Moss Wood's second vineyard called Ribbon Vale. They purchased the vineyard in March 2000. The vineyard was already in production, but it did offer a new challenge for Moss Wood in that they had never worked with Merlot before, and it ended up being quite different from the other grapes they were used to. Since then, they have focused on vineyard management and the way they produce the wine, and it's evolved into something special.
Good Cheer 1990 West Coast IPA
$4.89
From the Brewery
"The Original Craft IPA
By 1990, a new chapter in the story of IPA was unfolding on the west coast of North America. Inspired by British pale ales but no longer bound by them, early craft brewers began pushing the style in a bold new direction. Newly available American hop varieties like Comet, Cascade, Centennial, and Chinook brought vivid aromas of pine, citrus, and resin, along with a firmer, more assertive bitterness than most drinkers had ever encountered.
At the same time, advances in malting and fermentation allowed for cleaner, more consistent beers. Carefully kilned pale and crystal malts gave these IPAs their signature deep copper colour, while neutral yeast strains let the hops take centre stage.
These were not the hazy, fruit-forward IPAs of today, but something sharper and more structured. They were brighter and more bitter.
Our 1990 West Coast IPA recreates that first wave of craft brewing: crisp, piney, and firmly bitter, capturing the moment IPA was reinvented for a new generation. This beer uses 100% of its hops from the incomparable Myrtle Meadows Hop Farm in Pemberton BC. We select not just the varieties but the specific hop plants we use for this beer, creating a hop blend you won’t find anywhere else.

Chateau D'yquem 2023 375ml
$412.99
Long before it was enjoyed by the first US President George Washington, the wines of Yquem had already begun writing their chapters in the history books. It all began in 1453 when Aquitaine, previously English, was brought under French rule. A century later, a local nobleman by the name of Jacques Sauvage was granted feudal tenure over Yquem and thus became the first in a long line of dedicated winemakers. This outstanding terroir in the sauternes appellation has exceptional climate conditions and geological features. Château d’Yquem was attributed the esteemed title Premier Cru Supérieur in 1855. From that point, the genius of this sweet wine was acknowledged, and the Sauvage and Lur Saluces families went on preserving their treasure for over 400 years. The LVMH group acquired the estate in 1999, with the continued desire to go on writing the legendary Yquem story, both in keeping with tradition and remaining open to modern advances. From the vineyard to the cellar, the great art which crafts each vintage is also maintained through respect for the label, and determines the destiny of each year’s production. The 2023 vinatge is a blend of semillon (70%) and sauvignon blanc.

Four Winds Ahoy IPA

From the Brewery,
"Somewhere between a Czech Pale Lager and a West Coast IPA, Ahoy is herbaceous, crips, and floral. Czech drinkability reigns supreme here, with just enough West Coast influence to keep things interesting. A beautiful cross-world union of two pervasive styles that highlights the greatest characteristics of both."
