Loch Lomond Steam & Fire
$57.99
Disregard the price - this Single Malt Scotch from Loch Lomond Distillery is a steal - especially considering it is bottled at 46%. The peated spirit is matured in American Oak before being finished in heavily charred casks, enhancing the bold and peaty yet smooth profile.
Producer Description
"This special expression is created using spirit from both our remarkable straight neck and more traditional swan neck stills. The spirit was then matured in American oak barrels and finished in heavily charred casks, flamed by our own in-house cooperage. The charring process adds a unique complexity and brings out a melted brown sugar character with a rich buttery mouthfeel and notes of orange and dark chocolate."

The distillery settles for "Caribbean Rum casks" these days... maybe some of them are from Cuba! 40% ABV.
Producer Description
"We use casks that once contained premium Caribbean rum to finish our 21 Year Old expression. It’s the details that matter. This expression spends four months finishing in Gran Reserva barrels selected by our Malt Master, adding to its distinctive and complex flavour."
