Sourced from the powerhouse MGP Distillery of Indiana, this Wheater has a mash bill consisting of the bare minimum for Bourbon 51% Corn, a very high 45% Winter Wheat, and 4% Malted Barley. Starlight Distillery resides in Indiana. Bottled at 107 proof, or 53.5% ABV, the Bourbon was aged for 4 years in the typical charred new oak and then finished in an ex-PX Sherry Barrel. Barrel number is 22-2156.

Old Forester 1910 Bourbon 46.5%

The Old Forester 1910 is aged in a similar fashion to the venerable Woodford Double Oaked, as both are given a second charred new oak barrel for maturation, doubling down on those new oak and char notes. Evan feels the 1910 is better than the Woodford Double Oaked, but he is a bit of an Old Forester fanboy. Bottled at 46.5%.

Like many distilleries in the state, the producers of Yellowstone can boast a Beam connection or two. Paul and Stephen B. Beam founded Limestone Branch in 2010. Their Great-grandfather was M.C. (Minor Case. What a name!) Beam, who operated a distillery business in the late 1800s through to his death in 1934.
Limestone Branch Distillery is owned by Luxco Brands, which was in turn purchased by MGP in 2021.

This Four-Grain Bourbon from Denver, Colorado's LAWS Whiskey House is aged for at least 3 years in new oak barrels before beating bottled at cask strength, which in this case amounts to 57.9%. The four-grain mash bill is composed of 60% Corn, 20% heirloom Wheat, 10% heirloom Rye, and 10% heirloom Malted Barley. That is a lot of heirlooms.
