As early as 1752, the ancestors of the (Raul) Pérez family were vine growers in Valtuille, making wine from some of the plots that today form part of the winery. The winery is located in Valtuille de Abajo, t the foot of the western slope of Castro de la Ventosa, a Roman site that gives its name to the project.

Aged for an average of 15 months, we blended one Willet and two Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels with a whiskey barrel from friends and locals Burwood Distillery. Be reborn in velvety layers of cocoa, medjool dates, and rich, warming liqueur. Sip it slowly, but nab your stash quickly! We reckon we saved the best for last.

Answering the call of the open road, we modernized one of our first and most beloved barrel-aged beers. We fermented with our house culture, blended 8-month-old Saisons, and then split this boss concoction to dry-hop it with two of our favorite, most trusted hops. The result is a beer that’s both unique and complex yet remarkably easy drinking. Love is real, and baby, we were born to savour wild beer.
Fun Fact! The original name was inspired by Turk Diggler, Calgary’s most famous wild turkey Inglewood/Ramsay denizen. This beloved local celebrity was known for wandering near shops and homes with residents tracking his adventures on social media. Turk may have departed this mortal coil but he lives in our heart and in our beer!

The artistry of Gabriel-Glas lies at its very core: the crystal itself. It starts with the careful sourcing of low-iron sand (to prevent that familiar green cast of a Coke bottle) and the precise and constantly adjusted addition of metals and purifiers like Erbium through the melting process. The result is a stunningly brilliant, fiercely hard crystal.
The unpretentious size of the bowl–especially when compared to the de rigueur “fishbowl” sized glasses of yesteryear–the glass can derive full aromas from a modest pour size. The shorter length of the side walls also gets the nose closer to the wine itself thereby intensifying aromatic details while eliminating pollutant esters.
The rim is cut by laser and polished by a diamond wheel to give the impossibly-thin-rim higher resistance against impact, breakage, and more than a 50% increase in resistance to chipping—the most common failure of a typical fine stem. And, more importantly, it makes the glass undeniably more luxurious from which to drink.
