Created from a parcel of whiskies distilled in 1990 and 1991, the whisky was for matured 21 years in a mix of 75% ex-Bourbon and 25% Madeira casks, bottled at 50.3%. 92.2pts Whiskybase

"Enchantment is the seventh in a series of seven highly sought-after Rosebank bottlings, released annually by Elixir Distillers. It is a marriage of spirits distilled in both 1990 and 1991, matured in 75% American oak barrels and 25% Madeira hogsheads.
The casks used for the Roses series were among the last held by an independent company. Each bottling in the series represents a different character of Rosebank, bringing together casks with different styles to demonstrate this lost distillery’s wonderful diversity.
Rosebank was mothballed in 1993 and the equipment was stolen in 2009. The spirit produced at the distillery was triple distilled, creating a light, floral style loved by many. Rosebank has since become a cult favourite amongst whisky lovers and collectors."

In 1973, Philippe Le Grix de la Salle left the Créon cooperative and started up his winery. This was the birth of Grand Verdus as a wine château in the classic Bordeaux mould. Under the courtyard of the 400-year-old structure are the wine cellars. The stainless steel tanks are among the first installed in Gironde. The one we've all been waiting for. Finally, Arran's sister distillery Lagg has given us a core release. Last year's limited runs were fun, but Kilmory should be a little more true to what the distillery's profile should be like, going forward. The name refers to the small parish where the distillery lives. Matured in 100% first fill Ex-Bourbon, Kilmory is peated to 50 ppm (not far off Ardbeg levels!). We're kind of expecting sweet spirit with a really robust smokiness.

"This label is based on the beginning of a Manga-inspired story featuring Dave Worthington as a ‘Wild West of Scotland’ a whisky warrior. This will be the first story of the series of labels of his detailed adventures. Beginning with this one the bestowing of his powers by the Whisky Gods. The setting is dark with just a few single spot lights on Dave to give light around him. There are heads carved within the stone surrounding him, as he is in a chamber. To the left hand side in the foreground is a cloaked women with her hood down. Her head is raised, mouth open and arm raised aloft, clutching Banjolnir, a Banjo, the mystical instrument of the Whisky Gods which is fizzing with light energy. In the centre Dave is kneeled with his head bowed but in respect, not fear, mindful of the awesome responsibility being given to him. He is dressed in jeans, a shirt and waistcoat, with a single leather, Bandolero strap across his chest - with, instead of bullets, a range of different pipes as well as a couple of harmonicas in it. His beard should have some real quality to it - it is quite likely that his beard may turn out to be where his power is held as the story evolves.""
