Taylor Fladgate 2003 Vintage Port
$289.99
The 2003 vintage: Winter preceding the 2003 harvest was very wet. Flowering took place in bright warm weather at the end of May in some of the best conditions seen for several years. The first two weeks of August provided the intense summer heat which often precedes a great Port vintage. The picking season in September was warm and dry and the yields were even across all grape varieties, ensuring balance and complexity in the wines.
The 2003 Vintage Port is an absolute blockbuster, which according to Robert Parker, ‘will proudly stand shoulder to shoulder with the finest ever crafted by Taylor Fladgate.’
Lindemans Kriek Rene Bottle
$9.49
"This is the masterpiece of which I am most proud, as is one of my sons after whom it is named. What makes this traditional kriek special is that it is brewed with whole cherries. Since real Schaerbeek cherries are scarce, Lindemans Brewery has found their perfect equivalence elsewhere in Europe. It is deep red in colour and its foam head is slightly pink. Very refreshing, this beverage is a perfect thirst-quencher which, thanks to its fizzy and tangy flavour, is ideal as an aperitif.
Glencairn Glass Cut Crystal

Producer Tasting Note
Nose: Pronounced orchard fruits and vanilla pod mingled with aromas of citrus peels and toasted nuts.

Finish: Perfectly balanced with creamy rice pudding and gentle cinnamon spices lingering long on the tongue.
87pts Whisky Fun
"A new livery for the 15, it’s true that the former one was quite strange. Jim McEwan used to say this 15 was his favourite malt, after Bruichladdich of course (err, probably!) Colour: straw. Nose: it’s not that often than a 15 is a 10+5 years, if you see what I mean. Yeah, well, I mean that this one noses exactly like the 10 with five extra-years, that is to say with more vanilla, more spices (soft ones here) and a more refined fruitiness (added ripe strawberries here). The rest is similar (apples, lemon, wax, smoke.) Very nice. Mouth: exactly the same happens on the palate, all flavours playing louder this time. That means that it’s big whisky, full flavoured, interestingly citrusy and getting maybe just a tad too grassy/dry after a while. Quite some vanilla. Gets then funnily medicinal (no Laphroaig though), a tad camphory. Eucalyptus drops. Finish: long, still very zesty. Comments: more complexity in this one, a very entertaining profile. We like this one a lot, and it’s rather fairly priced. SGP:641 - 87 points."
El Enemigo Chardonnay
$45.99
Adrianna Catena is the youngest daughter of Nicolás Catena Zapata, the most famous name in Argentinean viticulture. She has lived and breathed wine since childhood. She lives between London and Mendoza, and California (she is also an ER doctor at San Fransisco's busiest hospital). Alejandro Vigil has been Chief Winemaker of Bodega Catena Zapata since 2002, receiving the first 100-point score awarded to a South American wine by Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate (CZ River Stones 2016), and the highest rating ever given to a pure Cabernet Franc (Gran Enemigo Gualtallary 2013). He also holds the first 100-point score for an Argentine Chardonnay from James Suckling (CZ White Bones 2018). This is El Enemigo.

Lindores Abbey Aqua Vitae
$64.99
Lindores Abbey, now in ruins, is the site of the first reference to whisk(e)y. What exactly constituted whisky, or aqua vitae in the late 1400s is hard to ascertain, but it almost certainly involved the addition of botanicals and possibly fruit. Lindores Abbey Distillery's Aqua Vitaeis is an homage to this proto-whisky. This product is bottled at 40% and is made to be sipped neat or enjoyed with ginger ale.
Producer Description
"The earliest Aqua Vitae was made at Lindores as long ago as 1494, and we’ve authentically recreated that recipe and reimagined it as an inquisitively versatile spirit. Today, our own spirit is distilled in pot stills and then infused with a blend of spices and herbs, including cleavers, and sweet cicely, which grow in our gardens, amidst the grounds of the ancient Abbey. It is entirely natural, with no added sugars."
La Copa Rojo Red Vermouth
$29.99
From Jerez, Spain. This is famed Gonzalez Byass' take on Red Vermouth, which uses their own Oloroso and PX sherry aged for eight years as the base. 15.5% ABV.
From The Producer
"The first references to vermouth in Gonzalez Byass date back to 1896. The La Copa range is based on these recipes found in the company archives dating back to 1896, with labels inspired by the designs found in the company’s historic archives.
The details are a closely guarded secret, but botanicals including wormwood, savory, clove, orange, cinnamon, nutmeg, angelic root and cinchona bark. They are carefully blended with fino, oloroso and Pedro Ximinez wines for a perfect bitter-sweet, aromatic balance. Delicious as a long drink with tonic or neat over ice."
