Torbreck Cuvee Juveniles Blanc
$35.99
There is a European sense of tradition here that means vines planted in the 1840s – many of them Rhone varieties such as Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvédre – still thrive and bear fruit of unique concentration and flavour. Torbreck pays tribute to these vineyards with minimal intervention, creating wines of richness, structure and length that age gracefully. The multi-generational growers, whose descendants arrived here nearly two centuries ago, are the backbone of Torbreck’s winemaking aspirations.
G&M Private Collection Benromach 1982
$1,979.99
This 39 year old Private Collection Benromach, bottled just shy of 40 years, was matured 19 years in a Sherry Cask before finishing for a further 20 years in a Burgundy Hogshead. At 60.2%, it has held its strength too. A sister cask to this bottling, also finished in Burgundy, is rocking 91pts on Whiskybase.
Independent bottlings of Benromach are extremely rare, there have been less than a dozen in the last 20 years, and a good chunk of them were by the distillery's owner Gordon & MacPhail. So why bottle a bunch of 39 year old Burgundy finished Benromachs (there appear to be at least 3) under Gordon & MacPhail? I suspect it is because these whiskies fall outside of the style the distillery is going for, and they didn't want to confuse these with the recent 40 year old releases, which have a more traditional style.
Coole Swan Irish Cream
$45.99
Absolutely no contest. Coole Swan is our very bestest, most favoritest Irish Cream ever! This is not the kind of stuff you need to mask with coffee. This is the kind of stuff you pour in a frosted glass and savour just as is. Of course, it works a treat in coffee too! 100% fresh Irish cream, Single Malt Irish Whiskey and white Belgian chocolate are pretty much all you've got here. No artificial ingredients. They like to tell us that 231 versions of Coole Swan were produced before they finally reached a recipe that they were happy with. Thank goodness for persistence. Irish magic in a glass.
Rosebank `The Roses` 21 Year Enchantment
$1,409.99
This whisky was featured on Day 12 of our 2023 KWM UBER Whisky Calendar. You can check out Evan's blog post on the whisky here.
Created from a parcel of whiskies distilled in 1990 and 1991, the whisky was for matured 21 years in a mix of 75% ex-Bourbon and 25% Madeira casks, bottled at 50.3%. 92.2pts Whiskybase
Producer Description
"Enchantment is the seventh in a series of seven highly sought-after Rosebank bottlings, released annually by Elixir Distillers. It is a marriage of spirits distilled in both 1990 and 1991, matured in 75% American oak barrels and 25% Madeira hogsheads.
The casks used for the Roses series were among the last held by an independent company. Each bottling in the series represents a different character of Rosebank, bringing together casks with different styles to demonstrate this lost distillery’s wonderful diversity.
Rosebank was mothballed in 1993 and the equipment was stolen in 2009. The spirit produced at the distillery was triple distilled, creating a light, floral style loved by many. Rosebank has since become a cult favourite amongst whisky lovers and collectors."
Le Grand Verdus Reserve 2019
$57.99
In 1973, Philippe Le Grix de la Salle left the Créon cooperative and started up his winery. This was the birth of Grand Verdus as a wine château in the classic Bordeaux mould. Under the courtyard of the 400-year-old structure are the wine cellars. The stainless steel tanks are among the first installed in Gironde. At the same time, some Premiers Grand Crus Classés of the Médoc are also developed. With the help of Emile Peynaud, a famous professor at the Faculty of Oenology of Bordeaux and “mentor” of Philippe Le Grix de la Salle, a modern Bordeaux chateau is born.
Lagg Single Malt Kilmory Edition
$82.99
This whisky was featured on Day 15 of our 2025 KWM Still Not An Advent Calendar Tasting Series! You can read more about the whisky here.
The one we've all been waiting for. Finally, Arran's sister distillery Lagg has given us a core release. Last year's limited runs were fun, but Kilmory should be a little more true to what the distillery's profile should be like, going forward. The name refers to the small parish where the distillery lives. Matured in 100% first fill Ex-Bourbon, Kilmory is peated to 50 ppm (not far off Ardbeg levels!). We're kind of expecting sweet spirit with a really robust smokiness.
Natural colour, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 46% abv.

About The Label
"This label is based on the beginning of a Manga-inspired story featuring Dave Worthington as a ‘Wild West of Scotland’ a whisky warrior. This will be the first story of the series of labels of his detailed adventures. Beginning with this one the bestowing of his powers by the Whisky Gods. The setting is dark with just a few single spot lights on Dave to give light around him. There are heads carved within the stone surrounding him, as he is in a chamber. To the left hand side in the foreground is a cloaked women with her hood down. Her head is raised, mouth open and arm raised aloft, clutching Banjolnir, a Banjo, the mystical instrument of the Whisky Gods which is fizzing with light energy. In the centre Dave is kneeled with his head bowed but in respect, not fear, mindful of the awesome responsibility being given to him. He is dressed in jeans, a shirt and waistcoat, with a single leather, Bandolero strap across his chest - with, instead of bullets, a range of different pipes as well as a couple of harmonicas in it. His beard should have some real quality to it - it is quite likely that his beard may turn out to be where his power is held as the story evolves.""
