It's vinified using traditional methods to avoid premature oxidation. Partial malolactic fermentation and reserve wines are aged in casks to allow the aromas to develop complexity. It has a typical dosage of (8 g/litre) to maintain a balance between freshness, fruitiness and vinosity without masking the wine’s character and purity. From the Distillery,
"This gin is a masterful fusion of botanicals, juniper berries set a robust foundation, while coriander seeds add a spicy complexity. Sadi Malot Champagne
$95.99
Founded in 1883 by Socrate Malot and renamed in 1920 to honor his brother Sadi, who lost his life in World War I, Champagne Sadi Malot is a historic family-run grower-producer (Récoltant-Manipulant). Based in the premier cru village of Villers-Marmery, the house is now led by the fifth generation—Socrate’s great-great-granddaughter Cindy Malot and her partner Florian Villiere, who took over in 2016.
While the Montagne de Reims is renowned for Pinot Noir, Villers-Marmery is a rare enclave of exceptional Chardonnay, thanks to its unusual limestone bedrock more commonly associated with the Côte des Blancs. This unique terroir shapes wines with remarkable elegance, minerality, and finesse, offering a distinctive expression of Champagne.
