Dieu du Ciel Rose de Hibiscus 4pk Cans
$23.49
This hibiscus-infused Wheat Beer was created back in 2006 at The Dieu Du Ciel Brewpub in Montreal. 5.9% ABV.
From The Producer
"Rosée d’Hibiscus is a delicate wheat beer with a floral and lightly acidic character. Its beautiful pink colour comes from the hibiscus flowers used in the brewing process. A perfumed aroma invokes fresh pink grapefruit and the pleasing texture persists nicely. A refreshing, quenching ale perfect for hot summer days & nights."
Correggia Roero Arneis
$29.99
The name Roero originates from the noble family of Roero, who played a determining role in the local history of the area from the late Middle Ages until 1700. The several towers and castles of the territory are witnesses to this aristocratic past. The Roero region has very different territories that include the wild beauty of the Rocche, Steeply sloped vineyards, secular chestnut woods, orchards, forests and fields. Vineyards and wine-growing harmonically fit in this ecosystem without altering the natural environmental balance.
Gran Orendain Blanco Tequila
$92.99
From The Importer
"Triple-distilled, 100% Blue Agave Gran Orendain Blanco is rested in stainless steel before bottling 40% ABV. This tequila truly smells like the rich aroma of baking agaves that you smell when you enter the town of Tequila, Jalisco for the first time – it makes you relive that experience every time you pour yourself a glass! On the palate, smooth and pure agave taste combined with herbs and mint aromas. To be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or in ultra-premium margaritas or other cocktails. A true “old school” tequila that smells and tastes like the best tequilas from 100 years ago."
Marnes Blanches Molates Chard
$55.99
Domaine des Marnes Blanches was started by Pauline & Géraud Fromont when they were in their early twenties. Barely out of winemaking school, the couple purchased land in Cesancey, a town in the Southern Jura. Named after the area’s most illustrious soil type, they made a wide variety of styles: from ouillé Chardonnays to oxidative Savagnins, and lithe reds from autochthonous varieties. This assemblage comes from several plots around the town of Gevingey. The vines average 35- old and are planted in classic marl and limestone. The grapes are pressed directly to barrel for fermentation and malolactic conversion. No bâtonnage is done during élevage, and the barrels are kept fully topped to prevent oxidation. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal SO2 after 10 months.
Kentucky Owl Confiscated Bourbon
$179.99
Confiscated refers to a fanciful story about a confiscated warehouse of whiskey barrels during prohibition, yadda yadda yadda. Kentucky Owl is a revived brand with roots that go back to its founding in 1879. It was recently relaunched in 2014 with whiskey from an undisclosed source in Kentucky. The brand itself is owned by the Stoli Group of Stolichnaya Vodka infamy. Bottled at 48.2%.
Tamnavulin Double Cask
$58.99
Relatively speaking, Tamnavulin is a baby. The distillery was only founded in 1966, and a core range wasn't even a twinkle in the owners' eyes until just a couple years ago. It's almost certain that most of Tamnavulin's production, even today, finds its way into the Whyte & MacKay family of blends. It's a shame really, as the distillate is good. While it would be nice to see the range expanded to include some higher age statement expressions...baby steps; we're just happy to see it finally being made available.
40%
Herbivore Gin
$51.99
Despite what the name implies, this gin is not made from vegetarians. Herbivore Gin is made by T-Rex Distillery of St. Albert, Alberta. Gingredients include juniper berry, angelica root, orris root, orange balm, and more.
Plantation Pineapple Rum
$48.99
We aren't much into flavoured rums here at KWM but the Plantation Stiggins' Fancy Pineapple is one of those execptions to the rule. This bottling takes the rum from Plantations excellent 3 Stars White Rum then gives it an infusion of pinapple rinds another distillation, then blends it with Plantation's Original Dark rum which has been infused with pinapple fruit. Bottled at 40% and out of this world good!
From The Producer
"Pineapple rinds are infused in Plantation 3 Stars rum, then further distilled in Ferrand Copper Pot Stills. Meanwhile, the fruit is infused in Plantation Original Dark rum. Both the distillate and the fruit infusion are finally blended together."
Raiz Oaxaca Mezcal Espadin
