"Belonging to our Cask Expressions Collection, our Bourbon Cask Single Malt Whisky is created from select first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels in which our rich and fruity single malt spirit has been patiently matured. These premium American oak barrels are ideal for ageing whisky and impart delicious notes of vanilla and honey. This sweet and malty cask strength expression is a whisky for purists and a wonderful expression of our distillery character."

The first release from Cotswold Distillery's Harvest Series, Golden Wold was limited to 5000 bottles. The whisky was matured in a combination of STR Red Wine casks, ex-Bourbon casks, and ex-peated whisky casks. Bottled at 52.5%.

A small handful of casks were selected from Cotswolds founder Daniel Szor's personal favorites. 'Uniquely active casks' were intentially targeted, to ensure a rich and expressive single malt. These were STR (shaved, toasted, recharred) American red wine casks which, as we can all agree, is the only way to use wine casks for maturing whisky.
