1 Mill Road wines are made at the Naramata Wine Vault in the charming village of Naramata, located in British Columbia, Canada. They are passionate about crafting exceptional wines that reflect our commitment to sustainable farming practices and intentional winemaking. Grown on the Okanagan Valley’s heavier silty soils of the Naramata Bench, this vineyard site maximizes southwest exposure and the close proximity to Okanagan Lake allows for long days and a long growing season. Handpicked and hand sorted, the grapes are fermented and aged in beautiful wooden French oak tanks in the Naramata Wine Vault.

A balanced wine with ripe raspberry, dried cranberry and cocoa flavours with notes of clove combined with fresh vibrancy from the natural acidity. Decidedly elegant with lovely complexity, fine tannins and a lingering finish.

Just gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. "A rich garnet in colour, the nose is bursting of lingonberry, Bing cherry and sweet anise alongside floral notes of crushed rose petal and violet. Ripe raspberry and dark plum emerge on the palate with an intriguing graphite minerality on the finish. All sourced from our single vineyard estate, select Pinot Noir blocks were handpicked and vinified in small lots using entirely wild fermentation. The small batches were then placed into a selection of new and seasoned French oak barriques for 12 months and blended, unfined and unfiltered, just prior to bottling. Although enjoyed in its youth we see this wine aging gracefully over the next 7 to 10 years," according to the winery. And we agree!

Meyer Family Vineyards wines are produced from two main vineyards, the 1.62-hectare “Old Main Road” vineyard on the Naramata Bench and the 6.9-hectare “McLean Creek Road” vineyard in Okanagan Falls. The "Old Block" Pinot Noir is one of the original vineyard plantings from 1994 and is part of the largest block of Pinot Noir at their estate vineyard on McLean Creek Road in Okanagan Falls.

Pinot Noir from their vineyard was hand harvested on October 8th. The soils are mostly granitic but with pockets of limestone. They played around with different percentages of whole-clusters, ranging from 25-75% inclusion. After 21 days on skins the wine was pressed off into neutral barrel. The wine underwent an eight-month élevage before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. 12.5% ABV - Juice Imports

Labelled “Canada’s Provence” by the late, distinguished foodie, James Barber, this special corner of the world is a fertile trifecta of warm growing conditions, rich soil, and abundant rolling hills. The Salish translation of "Cowichan" means warm land, as the microclimate in the valley keeps the weather warmer and drier than most of the island. It offers up a big core of blackcurrants and raspberries with some cedar hints and bright acidity.
