About The Winery
Cantina Cosimo Taurino was founded in 1970 by the legendary Apulian producer, Cosimo Taurino. He was a pioneer of Negroamaro, and of the Apulian wine industry, changing it's reputation of the 'not so great southern region that only produces bulk grapes for the north' to a region known for it's high-quality red and rosé wines. Ever since the winery opened it's doors, they have continued to grow and produce some of the best wines Puglia has to offer.

Hector and Pablo Durigutti were born in Mendoza, the cradle of Argentinian wine and were raised together. Their childhood and their home were always connected to a sensorial world, with aromas, ingredients and flavours that, over time, motivated them to choose the path to become enologists. This winery begins with a tale of two brothers - Walter and Antonio Mastroberardino -who parted ways, with Antonio acquiring the winery and Walter acquiring the vineyards (renamed as Terradora). The Terredora di Paolo estate is located on the hills of Irpinia surrounding the valleys of the Sabato and Calore rivers. With about 180 hectares of vineyards, they rank among the most prestigious producers in Southern Italy. The South of Italy is one of the most interesting wine areas in the country and Campania, and especially the Irpinia region, produces wines from native grape varieties such as Aglianico, Fiano, Greco, Piedirosso and Falanghina, all of which are brimming with personality. Aglianico has been called the Barolo of the South for its power and its ability to age for many years. Mayu Rose

Viña Mayu was established in 2005 in the Elqui Valley, the first fine wine producer to enter the wine business since 1998. Mauro Olivier was one of the pioneers, planting vines for fine wine production and sourcing grapes from the different vineyards in the valley. He started working on his family vineyards for table grape production at a young age; years later he began working in Pisco production (the national Chilean spirit, made from white wine). In 2000, he planted the first Carménère and Syrah vines in the valley. 5 years later, in 2005, he decided it was time to embark on his own wine project, under Mayu label. Mayu is an ancient INCA name for the Milky Way, literally meaning "creek of stars." The region lies 400 km (250 mi) north of Santiago, at the southern end of the Atacama Desert in the Coquimbo region, and rises to 2000 metres above sea level. These are great value wines produced from what is effectively a high- altitude desert. The hot arid climate allows for good ripening while the cold desert nights help preserve acidity.
Heartland Cabernet Langhorne Creek

The Heartland story began in the late 1990’s when winemaker Ben Glaetzer (of Amon Ra fame) became excited about the outstanding quality of fruit being grown in some of South Australia’s lesser-known regions, in particular Langhorne Creek. Together with industry veterans Scott Collett, Grant Tilbrook and more recently, Nick Keukenmeester, they grew Heartland into an award-winning winery. It offers blackcurrant and berry fruits wrapped in a neat parcel of dried herbs, tomato bush and faint mintiness. A touch firmish in the mouth but the finish is long and seemingly endless.

A grower-producer in the heart of Chigny-les-Rose, Giles Dumangin has champagne coursing through his veins. Dating back to the 1650's, the Dumangins have always worked with the vines of Champagne, but it wasn't until 1890 when Hippolyte Dumangin created Champagne Dumangin in the 1er Cru vineyards of Chigny-les-Roses. Five generations later, Champagne Dumangin is producing an array of wines, from their classic, feminine style to their newer, high-end cuvees. The Cuvee 17 is (almost) an equal blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, and the wine has become their calling card. Cuvee 17 is a classic style of champagne, but with enough character to set it apart from the big brands. With 33% of the bottle consisting of reserve wine, it creates a fierce complexity and opulent notes of elderflower, banana, lemon cream and hints of brioche. Perfect as an aperitif, with appetizers or with fresh seafood.
Le Clos des Cazaux Vacqueyras Blanc

The Le Clos des Cazaux estate has been a family property focused on viticulture for five generations since Gabriel Archimbaud, an ancestor, was one of the first to produce wines from Vacqueyras in 1947. It is now owned and operated by brothers Jean-Michel and Frédéric Vache. They farm 35 hectares, 20 in Vacqueyras and another 15 in Gigondas. They own mostly low-yielding hillside vineyards, fashioning high-quality white wines, rosés, and red blends. Their Gigondas vineyards are situated in the heart of the Dentelles de Montmirail massif range that has been in the family since the 1950s. This very special terroir benefits from the solar power of the southern slope, balanced by the cool nights at higher altitudes, mostly on clay soils. The reds are blended primarily from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. however, they include lesser-known grapes such as Aubun, Counoise, Cinsault, Muscardin and Carignan. The white wines mainly employ old-vine Clairette, complemented by Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, and a little Viognier.

Ripasso wine is made using an ancient winemaking technique called "ripasso." (Some call it the poor man's Amarone!) The young Valpolicella wine is fermented with the unpressed but drained skins and lees left over from making Amarone. This adds flavour and intensity, though Ripasso normally has a lighter taste than Amarone wines, which makes it easier to combine with food, and is often less expensive. Fruity, well-balanced and very well structured. Best food matches are: red meat, game and cheeses.
