Cosimo Taurino Notarpanaro
$36.99
Taking its name from the farm where the Taurino family started making wine, The Notarpanaro is made entirely from the Negroamaro grape. The grapes come from a single 25 hectare plot and the resulting wine is aged for two years in concrete tanks first, followed by a further half a year refill barriques before bottling. Here is what Wine Enthusiast has to say about the 2010 vintage:
"This well-priced, aged wine offers aromas of brandied cherries, spiced game and herbs on the nose. Its round feel and soft tannins make it entirely approachable to drink on its own, while its savory palate and graphite finish make it a perfect accompaniment to braised lamb or duck."
About The Winery
Cantina Cosimo Taurino was founded in 1970 by the legendary Apulian producer, Cosimo Taurino. He was a pioneer of Negroamaro, and of the Apulian wine industry, changing it's reputation of the 'not so great southern region that only produces bulk grapes for the north' to a region known for it's high quality red and rosé wines. Ever since the winery opened it's doors, they have continued to grow and produce some of the best wines Puglia has to offer.
Carlisle Radiant Ridge Mourvedre
$76.99
100% Mourvèdre. Harvested in late October. 80% destemmed and 20% whole-cluster. 14% new and 86% neutral French oak.
A new wine from Carlisle! While the Mourvèdre harvests are typically blended with Syrah to create their "The Integral" blend, the 2018 vintage of Mourvèdre demanded a single-varietal release. This is a ferocious, mysterious Mourvèdre with shocking presence and more than a nod to Southern French examples.
This wine is tremendously cellar-worthy. Enjoy 2025 through 2040.

St Antony Brudersberg Riesling GG
$59.99
St. Antony is a top-shelf riesling producer making high-quality wine since 1912. The ultra-modern winery they built sits on top of cellars that hold decades of premium riesling, a white grape that ages as well, if not better, than any first-growth Bordeaux or Burgundy (and for a lot less). These are dry wines, brimming with minerality and acidity, and three of the four we received are GG (Grosses Gewächs), the grand cru designation for dry German riesling. They are situated in the town of Nierstein, a charming village that is effectively the epicentre of wine in the Rheinhessen. Praised by critics and adored by riesling lovers, these are beautiful, mineral-driven wines that are delicious now and even better over time.
The Brudersberg monopoly site faces south throughout. The extreme steepness and the direct influence of the Rhine make the Brudersberg very special. Despite the omnipresent sunshine, the wines are not overly opulent, as some GG wines can be. Rather, they are characterized by a fine minerality, elegance and a very special longevity. In the glass, clear aromas of the terroir with flint and graphite, followed by lychee, apricot, lemon curd and peach notes. Very elegant and drinkable on the palate, bright acidity and a mineral-laden finish. Gorgeous riesling.

Rockford Cabernet Rifle Range
$132.99
Rockford Wines features high-quality traditional wines made from some of the best old Barossa vineyards. The winery and cellar door sales are part of a paved courtyard surrounded by stone buildings dating back to the early settlement of Krondorf. Founder and winemaker Robert O'Callaghan is a legend among Aussie winemakers and his wines have had a profound influence on winemaking philosophy and wine style in the Barossa. In addition to the small home vineyard, Rockford works in partnership with several independent wine growers around the Barossa, with vineyards in Kalimna, Ebenezer, Moppa Springs, the Eden Valley and central Barossa. This gives Rockford a wide variety of soil types, mesoclimates and altitudes for its grapes. Many of the vines are planted on their own rootstocks and range between 60–100 years old, giving intense, concentrated grapes that transform the wines. Winemaking is largely done using traditional methods such as basket presses, open-topped concrete fermenters and a 1880s Bagshaw (grape) crusher that was found on site when O'Callaghan purchased the property in the 1970s. This Cabernet is built for the long haul, give it a good decant if you want to drink it now.
