Cannonball is based in Heldsburg, Sonma, but they source fruit from numerous California sites to bring a range of well-made wines offer great value. Fruit for Cannonball’s bright, open, expressive Chardonnay is sourced from vineyards around northern California in Mendocino, Monterey, San Luis Obispo and Sonoma. The wine was fermented and aged in an even mix of French oak and stainless steel, and malolactic influence was kept to a minimum.

Valle d'Aosta is an Alpine region in North-West Italy known for expressive and mineral-focused wines. The first authentic records, found in the historic archive of the Valle d'Osta, state that the first appearance of the Grosjean Family name was around the 16th century. Originally from Switzerland, the Petite Arvine grape has adapted well to the valley’s conditions. Introduced to the region during the 1970s, it occupied the central part of the valley and was planted at an altitude between 600 and 900 metres above sea level. It has become well suited to their draining steep mountainsides. A recent study shows that the Petite Arvine seems to have a close link to the native Prié Blanc grape. Try it with appetizers, white fish and poultry.

"The white that will be sold from October or November 2019, the 2011 Viña Gravonia Blanco comes from a warmer year with very low yields, and the wine is already showing some tertiary notes, with very subtle diesel-like hints. The palate is bone dry with some nutty undertones and a salty/bitter finish. These are whites for food. 18,667 bottles were filled in November 2016, at the same time as the 2010, which means this had a shorter élevage (probably the sign of a slightly weaker year)." - 94 points, Robert Parker

Vines in the direction of Nolay, bought in 2014 – 2015 was the first vintage – from an 8 ha domaine shared with Sauzet – about 6km from domaine, vines on hillsides, over 400m with plenty of clay in this soil. Harvested about a week later than the vines around Chassagne – patience is always needed. – “It could go in the Bourgogne but I prefer to make two cuvées.”
Pretty, floral, instantly attractive. More drive and freshness. A hint of barrel but here is really an impressive width of finishing flavour, saline edged – this is excellent.’

San Leonardo Vette Sauv Blanc

Vette is named for the imposing peaks that rise above its Sauvignon Blanc vineyard, and it's the true height of refreshing crispness and earthy minerality. Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc it sees 12 hours of low-temperature maceration on the skins, followed by gentle pressing and fermentation for 20 days. It spends five months sur lie solely in stainless steel. The previous vintage sold out quickly and was a staff favourite, always a good sign. It walks the line stylistically between Sancerre and New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc flavour profiles, the best of both worlds.

In the year 2000, Georges Perrot established his own vineyards with land that he acquired as a result of his tenant farming or via sharecropping in the communes of Rasteau and Buisson, which represents an area of 15 hectares. With a helping hand from fate, he rented an old cellar for the 2002 harvest, and Domaine La Collière was born. In 2003 he built his modest little cellar in the Vaucluse in heart of the southern Rhone Valley. Marnes Blanches Molates Chard

Domaine des Marnes Blanches was started by Pauline & Géraud Fromont when they were in their early twenties. Barely out of winemaking school, the couple purchased land in Cesancey, a town in the Southern Jura. Named after the area’s most illustrious soil type, they made a wide variety of styles: from ouillé Chardonnays to oxidative Savagnins, and lithe reds from autochthonous varieties. This assemblage comes from several plots around the town of Gevingey. The vines average 35- old and are planted in classic marl and limestone. The grapes are pressed directly to barrel for fermentation and malolactic conversion. No bâtonnage is done during élevage, and the barrels are kept fully topped to prevent oxidation. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal SO2 after 10 months.
