Auchroisk: The easily pronounceable distillery name that is on everybody's lips! No? Anyhow, this bottling comes to us from Hunter Laing's Old Malt Cask line. This single cask Awthrusk - I mean Auchroisk - was distilled in February 2007 and matured in a refill Hogshead (ref. HL21158). The resulting 16 year old Single Malt Scotch has been bottled at 50%.
According to the label, this Auchroisk was bottled "TO COMMEMORATE THE LAUNCH OF THE ARDNAHOE SINGLE MALT". Huzzah!

"This Spontaneous Fermentation blend is refermented on Okanagan sour cherries.
This cherry variety of unknown heritage was supplied by Steve & Dan’s Fresh BC Fruit. The blend of 1, 2, & 3 year barrels refermented for 2 months on hundreds of kilograms of whole cherries, which showcases the full spectrum of character from the fruit and pits. The result is a stunning, ruby red colour, with pronounced baking spice and marzipan flavour, and a rich, coating texture and acidity."
:Fruitful Pursuits: Cherry 2023 is a blend of 1, 2 & 3 year Spontaneous Fermentation neutral wine barrels, refermented on BC sour cherries for 2 months.
