"The white that will be sold from October or November 2019, the 2011 Viña Gravonia Blanco comes from a warmer year with very low yields, and the wine is already showing some tertiary notes, with very subtle diesel-like hints. The palate is bone dry with some nutty undertones and a salty/bitter finish. These are whites for food. 18,667 bottles were filled in November 2016, at the same time as the 2010, which means this had a shorter élevage (probably the sign of a slightly weaker year)." - 94 points, Robert Parker

On the nose a fantastic bouquet with delicate aromas of white fruits, just-picked strawberries and delicate floral notes. Ripe stone fruit, lychee, flint, orange peel and a touch of mint in the nose. Super juicy start with fresh ripe acids and minerals upfront; elegant texture with a lot of content but at the same time refined; long, fruity aftertaste with citrus and ripe white fruit. Top wine as an aperitif, with white meat and crustaceans, and especially with white mould cheeses and orientally seasoned green vegetable salad.

One Shot Method: One of the only gins in the world to use the “One-Shot Method”, meaning we use exactly the right amount of botanicals in our distillation so that we only need to add water to bring it down to bottling strength. 99% of gins are made using a concentrate which is diluted with neutral grain spirit and water. This neutral alcohol has had no contact with copper nor the botanicals so it produces a harsher, less balanced gin.
Hand Cut: We only ever retain a tight heart cut (the highest quality) of the liquid which is cut by hand. Much like a fine single malt, it’s what delivers our uncompromising quality of spirit.

We have a new release from Scotland's smallest distillery... I can't back up that statement about them being Scotland's smallest distillery, but it was on their website. Given there is only one man making the whisky, and he only distills when he's not farming... it is probably true. What is undeniable is that the whiskies are lovely, legitimately rare, and in my opinion, it might be one of the best batches we've seen on this side of the Atlantic!

"The barley variety Publican was grown in the 43ac field and harvested by John and Sandy on the 28th & 29th August 2009. It was then dried and stored on the farm to be malted in Alloa during the summer of 2010. The twenty-seven first-fill barrels, which had previously been used to mature bourbon from Clermont Springs distillery in Kentucky, were matured on the upper level of our dunnage warehouse. They were filled in June, July and August 2011 and bottled in September 2023."
