This 3 Year Old Single Malt Swissky was matured in HighGlen’s signature 100 litre casks. A one Man operation, situated on the peak of a Swiss Mountain, heavily inspired by Scotland, and run by the larger than life character, Lord Gunter Sommer. Located in the village of Santa Maria, on the border of Switzerland and Italy, at an altitude more than twice that of Ben Nevis, the distillery has been built into his home."
About the Label
"All of the distillery equipment, apart from the still, was designed and built by Gunter. The power source for the distillery is an array of solar panels on the roof. Gunter primarily uses specially coopered 100 litre casks made from Ex-Bourbon staves, and Ex-Sherry heads."

March 2nd 1908 – He was first witness at the Royal Commission on Whiskey* and other potable spirits. A royal commission to determine the very concept of what whisky was. On one side was the purists who only thought Pot Still whisky was whisky and on the other side Blenders who thought grain and malt whisky combined was whisky.
"The Scots and the blenders won the day after 37 sittings; This was seen as the sensible outcome. Blends could still be called Whisky and called Scotch if distilled in Scotland. The 2025 release is a marriage of 83% Spanish Oak Oloroso Sherry with 17% Pedro Ximenez. It is a 50/50 marriage of peated and unpeated malt and is bottled at 50% ABV.
Ardnamurchan utilizes blockchain technology to track and record how their whisky is made then bottled. There is a QR code on the back of each bottle of Ardnamurchan bottle that links to everything from tasting notes, to who did the mash that day, and even the fermentation time. According to the info provided, we can thank Nick Docherty for this batch - at least fermentation-wise. Scott Stewart was responsible for the spirit run/distillation.

This special release of Nikka Grain Whisky was made from a combination of grains distilled at a combination of distilleries - all owned by Nikka. It is bottled at 48%.
Nikka has two Single Malt Distilleries in Japan - Yoichi and Miyagikyo. It also has a few different facilities that can make grain whisky. Nikka's Miyagikyo Distillery - under its founder Masataka Taketsuru - was the first place in Japan to have a Coffey/Continuous still installed, back in 1963.

"Nikka The Grain is composed of old Coffey grains (corn and malted barley) and Coffey malts (100% malted barley) from the now closed Nishinomiya distillery, as well as Coffey grains and Coffey malts from Miyagikyo. The finishing touches are added by Barley Grain (malted and unmalted barley) and Barley Grain and Corn & Rye (malted barley, corn, rye), all distilled in pot stills at the Moji and Satsumatsukasa distilleries, which originally specialized in Shochu production. Each spirit was carefully selected from these four sites. Bottled at 48% ABV, Nikka The Grain reveals a creamy texture and complex palette of complementary aromas."
