High West Cask Coll. Sauvignon Blanc
$97.99
High West Distillery's new Cask Collection Series puts the focus on two things the company excels at: blending whisky and cask selection. This blend of Straight Bourbon and Straight Rye whiskey - all matured between 6 and 10 years in new oak - was further tweaked by 10 months of finishing in casks that previously held Sauvignon Blanc white wine. The result is bottled at 50% ABV.

Producer Description
"Knowing that rye has roots extending to the beginning of American Whiskey and holds more than two centuries of heritage, you could say, “it’s been done.” But with this chapter, “Path Not Taken,” we explore the future of American Rye by blending a unique range of rye whiskies together and show you that rye still has plenty of stories left to tell.
“Path Not Taken” is about reimagining the variety that rye grain has to offer and pushing the limits of what it can be. We look across America’s oldest whiskey frontier from a new vantage point and create a complex, redefined and differentiated profile by blending ryes of different age, char and mash bill.
The story of rye has been told countless ways. But never like this."

Based on the exact family recipe first dreamed up by Charles Nelson in the late 1800s, this wheated Tennessee Whiskey is mellowed through a bed of sugar maple charcoal and bottled at 91 proof… an ode to Charles Nelson who died in 1891. Nelson’s Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey offers notes of brown sugar and vanilla and is best enjoyed any way you like it: neat, on the rocks or poured into your favorite cocktail."

Woodford Reserve Mc Madeira Cask
$209.99
45.2%
Producer Description
"Woodford Reserve’s barrel finish philosophy aims to accentuate a attributes that already exist in our complex whiskies—never to add or change flavors. For the 2024 Master’s Collection release, Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall experimented with finishing our bourbon, rye, and wheat whiskies in Madeira barrels—creating uniquely fruit-forward whiskies.
Hailing from the Madeira Islands off the coast of Portugal, Madeira barrels are rich with dried fruit, spice, and nutty flavors from the fortified wine they once held. To further enhance the flavors of the Madeira-finished whiskies, we blended them with our fruit-forward Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey.
Together, this blend elevates the expansive fruit and floral notes found in our Wheat Whiskey to create this year’s Master Collection presentation: Woodford Reserve Madeira Cask Finish."
