Producer Tasting Note
Nose: A more aromatically intense, technicolor version of The Artist, with rich notes of cherry cobbler with a buttery cinnamon crust, candied ginger and lemon peels, and apricot Streusel coffee cake.
Palate: Grilled peaches with mint ice cream, apple and marzipan dumplings, and gingerbread cookies with lemon zest.
Finish: Long, spicy finish, with baking spices in brown butter, muddled cherries and mint leaves.

"Following his discovery of Rye in Bourbons, Gilles decided to look for a good 100% rye spirit (no malt, no corn, nothing else). He discovers it after a trip to Prowein (Germany) by visiting the Zuidam distillery (Whisky Millstone) in the Netherlands. When Gilles acquires this whisky, its colour is still very light even after years of aging. The Ratafia Champenois is providing this whisky a lot more than its colour."

The Musician is a Bourbon made by Still Austin Whiskey Co from a mash of 100% Texas-grown grains. The exact mash bill for The Musician Bourbon is 70% White Corn, 25% Rye, and 5% Malted Barley.The whiskey was matured as is typical using heavily charred virgin oak casks. What sets it apart is the use of a slow water reduction technique used during maturation, where each month a small amount of water is added to the aging whiskey in casks. This is meant to soften the whiskey extract more mature notes such as vanilla and caramel from the oak. Bottled at a respectable 49.2%.
