Rare find, indeed. In fact, we didn't even realize this was available until it was pointed out to us. This 22-year-old Longmorn was distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2012 from Refill Bourbon Barrel No. 80036.

Wolfburn 10 Year Single Malt Scotch

Wolfburn turns 10! We've been waiting a long time (ummm... ten years, maybe?) to see this distillery come of age. Wolfburn was a footnote in Scottish distilling history, lost 150 years ago, and little more than a pile of rubble with an immaculate water source when the decision was made to resurrect the name. Raising the old distillery from the dead was impossible, of course, but that didn't mean a new Wolfburn couldn't be commissioned onsite. Fast forward a decade and a bit, and we now have a thriving distillery in Caithness.
Seeing as this is the distillery's first 10-year-old, don't expect it to last long.
Producer Note: "A significant milestone for the Wolfburn distillery – this 10-year-old single malt is its first permanent age statement release. The whisky spent its full maturation in second-fill oloroso sherry casks resulting in a sumptuously sweet, fruit-laden profile, backed by dense oak and silky caramel."

The Lismore 21 Year is back, with a sharp (although retro) new look. They have done away with the decanter and leather tube, but otherwise the juice is still the same. Is it from Glenfarclas? It might be... but the producers aren't telling!

This 1972 vintage Tomintoul has been bottled under the Private Collection range by Gordon & MacPhail, at 43%, after maturing 48 years in a Refill Hogshead Cask. This is a curious malt, by all accounts, with the exception of a 50 year old Samaroli bottling, it is the oldest Tomintoul ever bottled!

G&M Private Collection Lochside 1981

Distilled from unicorn tears, angel sweat, and hen's teeth, Lochside is as scarce as it gets in the whisky world. The distillery was shuttered in 1992, having only produced for about 35 years. These occasional releases are like the last fading echoes of what once was. We're not far from a point in time when Lochside will be nothing more than a footnote. This is liquid history. There were only 141 bottles from Refill Sherry Hogshead #802.
