Making wine is all about working in sync with the changing seasons and conditions on the land. They strive to craft wines that capture the essence of Martinborough, Aotearoa-New Zealand. They are a small, family-owned organic winery with a reputation for pinot noir, located at the southern end of the North Island. Ata Rangi was founded by Clive Paton in 1980. This is without a doubt one of the world's finest rums. It hails from the Highlands of Guatemala & is sweet, rich and full bodied with an exceptionally soft, round palate. It is like a more refined Zaya. Unlike most rums, Zacapa is distilled from fermented cane juice rather than molasses. The rum is also unusual in that it is aged in a solera system giving it a blended rather than fixed age. The youngest rums are as young as six years old, and the oldest up to 23. The rum scored an impressive 97 points from the Beverage Tasting Institute.

Alvears Pedro Ximenez Solera 1927

Alvear makes delicious sherry in the sunny region of Andalucia. This smooth, sweet wine is the result of the Pedro Ximenez grapes being left to dry under the sun on esparto-grass mats. Once the fermentation is over, the wine is placed in American oak casks, where it will age by means of the traditional method involving rows of casks known as the solera system begun by Alvear in 1927.
