Made from a 200-year-old recipe! An Italian classic! Amaro is an Italian bitters, commonly served as a digestif after a big meal. It's generally served neat, without adding anything except perhaps a wedge of orange on the side. That said, it can be very refreshing with a bit of ice, or perhaps some tonic water or club soda. Amaro is made by crushing various herbs, bark and citrus in alcohol, and then adding sugar syrup. The mixture is then aged in bottle or wood.

It has plenty of green pepper, nettle and asparagus scents on the nose that has plenty of personality too. The palate is well-balanced with gooseberry and asparagus on the entry, a fine line of acidity and a slightly phenolic finish that just needs a little more tension. Otherwise, this is a fine Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now."
