Angostura Aromatic Bitters
$18.49
Producer Description
"“A cocktail cabinet without Angostura is like a kitchen without salt and pepper.” ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters adds a layer of complexity, intensifies the flavor of other ingredients, counteracts the harshness of acidic contents and decreases the harshness of spirits. But it doesn’t stop there – it also helps cleanse the palate and aid in digestion. Ever had an Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Pink Gin or Mai Tai? Then you’ve experienced ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters. It’s the can’t-miss bottle behind the bar, featuring an over-sized label and distinct yellow cap."
Remelluri Rioja Reserva
$68.99
Remelluri was founded by monks in the 14th Century, although there is evidence dating even farther back of wine being made on these premises. The vines changed hands a number of times over the years before being purchased by Jaime Rodriguez in 1967. In 2010, Jaime’s son and daughter, Telmo and Amaia Rodríguez, took the reins of the estate and set about making a series of changes to showcase the potential and diversity of Remelluri’s different terroirs, and ultimately reclaim Rioja’s viticultural history. They made some major changes to their approach and was cut down the production of their wines by one third, restricting it to wines produced from the estate’s own grapes. As a nod to Rioja’s historic viticultural traditions, they have begun moving the Garnacha from trellis to bush-grown vines and will be working increasingly with mixed field plantings. Although Remelluri has always eschewed chemical treatments in the vineyard, 2010 marked the year of the estate’s full organic certification. Work in the winery plays a secondary role in Telmo’s philosophy, but great care is taken to make sure that each bottle reflects the terruño of the region: wines are fermented with native yeasts, each plot is vinified separately, new oak is used very scarcely and the wines are very lightly filtered and fined.

Suntory AO Whisky
$98.99
Not exactly a new concept, but perhaps the most coherent and well-executed example of blends that cross international borders and waters. Suntory tells us this five-sided bottle is meant to represent "the most prestigious whisky regions in the world" by marrying whisky (and whiskey) from some the industry's true titans: Yamazaki (Japan), Hakushu (Japan), Cooley (Ireland), Jim Beam (America), Alberta Distillers (Canada), Ardmore (Scotland), and Glen Garioch (Scotland). Each is meant to ante up with its "unique history and climate." And if you're curious, the name 'Ao' means 'blue', referring to the oceans that tie the continents together.

Terra Dominicata Domus Aquilae
$64.99
Domus Aquilae is a full-bodied red wine made from old vine Garnacha grapes. Carthusian monks founded this former monastery at the foot of the Montsant mountain range in the 12th century. The new owners - the Vives family - have restored the farm and vineyards, the very same land where the monks cultivated their vines, olive trees and orchards. The winery and accompanying luxury hotel are situated in the middle of the Montsant Natural Park, where you can immerse yourself in the landscape, silence and gastronomy of the region. The Vives family offers you a haven of peace in one of the most appreciated wine regions in the world.
Coca i Fito Xalar Vermut
$37.99
Vermut - the Spanish word for vermouth - is wildly popular in Spain, with vermut bars around every bend in the major cities. This delicious vermouth is the result of four years of research, led by oenologists Toni Coca and Sílvia Pujol.
This is white vermouth with a Mediterranean character, made from fortified white Grenache wine and local aromatic plants (rosemary, thyme and fennel), balsamic plants (green anise, savoury, laurel...), macerated citrus skins (lemon, orange), roots (gentian, angelica, licorice ...), spices (cinnamon, cloves, turmeric...), and flowers (chamomile, elder, maiden...). In total, more than 30 different plants, aromatics and spices bring complexity, freshness, delicacy, a hint of bitterness, persistence and unique character.

Sponge Grand Champagne Cognac 1972
$599.99
Producer Note
"Cognac Sponge Edition No.6 is a Heritage.72 Grande Champagne cognac, one of 180 bottles from a single cask at natural cask strength of 50.2%. If our 1972 Armagnac could be equated to an old Glen Grant, this rather more subtle, fine-boned and complex old Grande Champagne Cognac of similar pedigree could be said to resemble a venerable aged Linkwood or Strathisla. Anyway, all you whisky hoarding grainiacs should stop messing about with whisky (except our bottlings, naturally) and give these Cognacs a spin! Dried fruits, earths, tobacco and rancio with a slender drizzle of honey over the top - there are abundant pleasures to be had with these old spirits."
