Double Diamond Cabernet Sauvignon
$134.99
Double Diamond is an Oakville AVA wine made by Schrader Cellars in Napa. Fred Schrader founded the winery in 1998 with the goal of making the best Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon possible. Since then, the wines have gained a reputation for their incredible vineyard sourcing (Beckstoffer To Kalon, Las Piedras, and Georges III) and their remarkably gifted winemaker, Thomas Rivers Brown. The 2020 vintage of this wine was the Wine Spectators' #1 wine last year on their Top 100 list, and 2021 is a better vintage so we don't expect this to be around for long.

Quinta Do Noval Colheita 2005
$99.99
The history of Quinta do Noval is marked by the action of visionaries:
António José da Silva, a port shipper from Porto, acquired Quinta do Noval in 1894, after its devastation by phylloxera. He restored the property by replanting the vines. Luiz Vasconcelos Porto, his son-in-law, was the author of a vast programme of innovations. He transformed many of the narrow older terraces into broader terraces. This permitted a more efficient use of the land and a better exposition to the sun.
Since 1993, Quinta do Noval is part of the international viticultural group of AXA Millésimes. A new bottling line and warehouse was completed in 1997 in Alijo, near Pinhão. This project made Quinta do Noval the first of the traditional Port shippers to centralise all its activities in the Douro Valley. In the 90's, around a hundred hectares of the domaine have been replanted, adapting pruning methods to suit each parcel. Today, we have high quality grapes which on one hand assure the excellence of Quinta do Noval Ports and on the other hand the production of Douro wines since the 2004 vintage.
Swartland Bush Vine Chenin Blanc
$34.99
Swartland Winery is situated about 70km north of Cape Town and 3km outside the town of Malmesbury on the road to Paarl.
In the heart of the Swartland, and the winery harvests its grapes from wine farms spread out on the hills around Malmesbury.
The vineyards benefit from the constant cool breezes that blow off the Atlantic Ocean, effectively sustaining the many microclimates, while the proximity to mountain ranges adds its own dimension to the physical character of the grapes.
Roceno Nerello Mascalese Rosso
$23.99
Sibiliana is the new project from the Cantine Europa Group. A collaboration between Sicilian grape growers, it brings together 4500 hectares of vineyards in the areas of Trapani, Agrigento and Palermo. The cooperative includes 2,100 growers and was founded in Petrosino in 1962.
The character of Nerello Mascalese can be compared to that of Pinot Noir and Nebbiolo. Light to medium-bodied, it often has a streak of fine tannins. Compared to a Nerello Mascalese from Mt Etna, the Sibiliana Roceno Nerello Mascalese displays a more Mediterranean side of the variety. Exceptional value!
Olivier Riviere Mirando Rioja Blanc
$124.99
Cognac-born consultant winemaker and viticulturist Olivier Rivière was lured to Spain in 2004 by Telmo Rodriguez to convert his vineyards to biodynamics. He ended up falling in love with the traditions and grapes of the country, and now farms 25 hectares of owned and contracted vineyards in Rioja Alta, Rioja Baja, Rioja Alavesa, and the up-and-coming DO of Arlanza. He served as a winemaker at Domaine Leroy in Burgundy and his wines show great elegance and power
Mirando al Sur comes from his own vineyards cultivated using organic principles in the village of Labastida. These are old vines aged over 50 years old and planted in gravel and pebble soils at more than 500 metres above sea level.
