Columbiers De Feytit Clinet
$81.99
Château Feytit-Clinet is a discreet but beautiful property, located on the western part of the plateau of the Pomerol appellation. The domaine has been owned by the Chasseuil family since 2000, who have been keen to carry out restructuring work in the vineyard and the winery to get the best out of its great terroir. They own 6.5 hectares of vines, planted on gravelly sandy soils. The grape varieties are 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. The wines are aged on average between 16 months in French oak barrels, 70% of which are new. Château Feytit-Clinet produces remarkably well-constructed wines that express themselves with depth and elegance, reflecting the best that Pomerol has to offer. The wines are renowned for their great longevity. This Pomerol is the second wine of the Feytit Clinet estate, made with Merlot and Cabernet Franc. A generous wine that will perfectly accompany lambs, game, poultry, roasted intercoon, cognac calf kidneys, beef spins, ripened cheeses.
Quelyus Pinot Noir
$39.99
Domaine Queylus is located atop the Niagara Escarpment in Ontario’s renowned winemaking region, the Niagara Peninsula. Guided by founding president, Gilles Chevalier, and a group of keen investors from Quebec, they began their winemaking story with their first vintage in 2010. A retail store and tasting room followed in 2014. Selecting only varieties which have been identified as perfectly adaptable to their vineyards' complex soils and microclimate, they craft premium, cool-climate wines from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot.
Compass Box Crimson Casks
$121.99
Crimson Casks is a new release that has been added to Compass Box's core range of Blended Scotch Whisky. Like the Glasgow Blend, Crimson Casks focus is on Sherry Casks. Unlike the Glasgow Blend, it is unpeated. The blend features a decent portion of single Malt from excellent Glen Moray Distillery (matured first in ex-red wine casks) as well as a "Distillery Near The Town of Aberlour" with much of the whisky being at least partially matured in first-fill Oloroso Sherry-seasoned butts made from American Oak. The resulting blend is Bottled at 46% ABV.
Producer Description
"We work with our partner in Jerez, taking American oak butts and precisely seasoning them with Oloroso sherry for a very particular wood interaction that creates a spiciness and generous intensity. We blend these sherry-influenced parcels with red wine-influenced whisky from The Glen Moray Distillery and our Highland Malt Blend in custom oak French barrels. Crimson Casks delivers notes of chocolate fudge cake and plum jam, followed by rich cherry, toffee and oak. These rich flavours are undercut by clove and cardamom."
