Aalto Ribera del Duero
$131.99
If you haven't already heard the name Aalto, then chances are it's one that will soon become very familiar to you. Founded in 1999 and located in the Ribera del Duero - the same region as Spain's most prestigious winery, Vega Sicilia, this fabulous red wine is turning heads. Made only in the best vintages from old vine Tempranillo grapes the taste is luscious and full. Unfiltered for intensity.
Carlisle Alicante Bouschet
$74.99
In the last 20 years, Carlisle has bottled Alicante Bouschet only four times – 2004, 2013, 2016, and now, with this vintage, 2021. While the variety is one of their favourites for blending, providing ample colour and adding a bit of complexity, it can fall short as a complete wine, but in these particular vintages, every component is in place, a beautiful nose, delicious flavours, and a long finish. Aged in all neutral oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Tasting Note: Black as a moonless night deep in a bamboo forest (trust us, that’s black!) Blackberries and boysenberries abound in the deep, concentrated aromas. A touch of dark earth as well. Medium-full to full-bodied with plenty of fresh blackberry, ample acidity and suave tannins. While there is plenty of fruit to this wine, it is by no means jammy thanks to its low pH and high TA. This will age well.
Benjamin Bridge Nova 7

Pair with Eggs Benny, Chocolate Croissants, fresh fruit or simply sip on its own.
Bussola Valpolicella TB Classico
$109.99
One of the best Valpolicellas you'll ever try, from one of our favourite producers! Medium-bodied and rich, it has notes of red berries and a long finish. Deliciously easy to drink. "Tommaso Bussola's wines have received a good deal of critical acclaim over the last few years, and with good reason. These are remarkable wines of the highest level," according to Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. "The estate produces two lines of wines. In theory the BG wines are more traditional in spirit while the TB wines are meant to be more modern. In reality the main difference comes down to vineyard selection, as the estate's best fruit is reserved for the TB range."
Stags Leap Napa Cabernet
$63.99
90+ points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate for the 2013 vintage! The review: ""The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa (86% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Malbec, Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot) was aged 20 months in French oak, of which 37% was new. This is a structured, tannic, rather austere style of wine that mimics a fine Bordeaux. It is deep ruby/purple and offers notes of graphite, black and red currants, licorice and tobacco leaf. It is medium-bodied, structured, and best cellared for several years and drunk over the following 15 years."
Poggio al Sole Chianti Classico
$37.99
A charming Chianti Classico from an excellent producer, and a Kensington Wine Market exclusive! Giovanni Davaz owns fifteen precious hectares of vineyards in Tavernelle Val di Pesa where he grows very fine Sangiovese, muscular Cabernet Sauvignon, and dense, powerful Syrah. Generous use of small barrels in vinification barely tame the exuberant, broad fruit quality of his wines, and the firm, large-scaled tannic structure in them makes them suitable for extended aging. Ripe and rich fruit gives this wine lush notes of sweet cherries and leather. Very food friendly, especially with herb-roasted chicken. Organic and vegan friendly! Made from 90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo.
Poggio al Sole Chianti Casasilia
$84.99
From a prized single vineyard at high elevation, Casasilia (the estate's original name) is the winery’s most structured and age-worthy wine. 100% Sangiovese, aged in large oak casks for 18 months, it shows layered aromas of dark cherry, fennel seed, tobacco leaf, with a hint of Tuscan underbrush. It's deep, refined, and savoury Chianti Classico Gran Sezelione, ideal for the cellar, but drinkable now with a good decant. Pair with bistecca alla Fiorentina, slow-cooked lamb, or spaghetti with fresh truffles. We have some magnums and 3-litre bottles as well, ideal for the cellar. The 2021 vintage is widely considered as one of the best ever in Chianti.
Poggio al Sole Ponente
$61.99
Poggio al Sole is known for its excellent Chianti Classico, so Johannes Davaz was initially reluctant to plant Bordeaux varietals on his hill in Tuscany. But he can't argue with the results: the Poggio al Sole Ponente. This IGT Rosso Toscana (Super Tuscan) is made from 1/3 each of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Look for intense aromas and overall freshness. The taste is warm with notes of ripe fruits. Round and complex with ripe tannins, it shows hints of spice and minerality. Perfect to pair with Florentine Steak. Organic and vegan friendly!
Poggio al Sole Syrah
$65.99
Second-generation winemaker Johannes Davaz isn't from Tavernelle. Originally, he worked for his father in the family's Swiss vineyards and wine cellar before going to college to study enology. Years later, when the Davaz family took over the Poggio al Sole estate, Johannes (known locally as "Giovanni") undertook the responsibility of overseeing the new venture. There are not a lot of Chianti producers making syrah but when we first tasted this we wondered why. Stylistically, it's closer to the Rhone style than an Aussie shiraz. There's a great interplay of fruit and savouriness on the nose, with ripe cherry, pepper and cloves as well as a hint of violets. Structured on the palate, starts with lots of juice, ripe tannins, dancing acidity, savoury, persistent finish. Organic and vegan-friendly.
