Tomintoul Peaty Tang is made from a combination of unpeated Tomintoul malt and heavily peated Ballantruan malt also produced at Tomintoul. The result is a Speyside single malt with soft, approachable peat and smoke.

Tomintoul is one of the many Scottish distilleries that used to tack on the name Glenlivet to its distillery name as a sign of quality. Fittingly it is only a few miles from the fabled Glen. Its 16 year is a soft, easy-going and pleasant expression that was matured in American Oak casks.

Launched in Alberta in 2014, this is a very limited production malt. Most of Glencadam's production is destined for blends, so very little of this makes it to advanced age. 100% American oak matured, it is very elegant with a rich body, bottled at 46%.

Old Forester 86 Proof is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon made at Old Forester Distillery in Lousiville. The Old Forester Distillery is owned by Brown-Foreman, who also owns the Woodford Distillery which is responsible for Woodford Reserve and is located in Versailles, Kentucky.
Old Forester's Bourbon mash bill is purportedly the same as that for its Woodford Reserve cousin, which is 72% Corn, 18% rye, and 10% Malted Barley.

Wait, What? Mezcal Finish? You betcha! This is our 11th KWM exclusive single cask of Kilchoman, 12th if you count the 14 Year cask we bottled to help raise funds for the MS Society of Canada!
When we saw that Kilchoman had released a Mezcal Cask Finish, we immediately inquired about getting cask samples. We didn't need another Kilchoman cask, we already have 2 stacked on the floor, but we couldn't resist one of the samples. Our pick, a 7 year old, started its life in an ex-Bourbon barrel before being transferred to an ex-Mezcal Cask for 8 months for finishing. Bottled at a cask strength of 55.2%, there are only 199 bottles (because some of them were filled as 50mls for our KWM 2021 Whisky Calendar)! The full sized bottled can be viewed here!
