Daydreamer is a sustainable, family-run winery based on the beautiful Naramata Bench in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. It is the brainchild of Rachel and Marcus Ansems, Master of Wine, who have both been involved in the wine industry for over 20 years. They make limited production wines from the best sites in the Okanagan Valley with a special focus on the wines of the Naramata Bench. Okanagan Valley is unique because the North to South orientation offers a range of climates suitable for many of the best vitis vinifera varieties such as Syrah, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling Pinot Gris and Viognier.

Cab Franc thrived in 2023’s hot and compressed growing season. The grapes ripened early and fully, and the small yields meant small berries with exceptional concentration.
The 2023 Cab Franc opens with intense black and blue fruits, spice, and violets. A floral spine lifts the wine out of any potential heaviness, while the ripe, generous tannins pour over the mid-palate without overflowing. This wine is a study in balance.
